Part-time (two weeknights and one weekend day) Receptionist/Secretarial Position.  Weekend day will alternate:  either Saturday 3-6 p.m. or Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Friendly, outgoing individual needed for part-time receptionist/secretarial position in the Parish Office. Duties include operation of multi-line phone system, administrative support for the Parish Office operations, record keeping, and computer data entry. Ideal candidate will be a multi-tasker and self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with others. Candidates must have Microsoft skills, proficient keyboarding skills, ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters, ability to relate to a variety of persons, and knowledge of the Catholic faith. St. Susanna is hiring a part time parish office receptionist. The schedule will  be under 20 hours per week during office hours which are Monday through Friday 8:30 to 4:30. Flexibility during these times is required. The ideal start date is the week of August 15, 2022.

Responsibilities include greeting parishioners and visitors to the parish office, receiving and forwarding incoming phone calls, and providing clerical support for the parish staff. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a pleasant and friendly demeanor, and possess excellent communication skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Leads the congregation in song: hymns, psalms, responses and mass settings.
2. Sings occasional vocal solos for preludes, offertories, and meditations.
3. When necessary, sings descants and harmony with the adult choir.
4. Attends rehearsal prior to singing at Mass, Thursday 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
5. Attends Mass prepared with the correct music, in appropriate attire, and at the appointed time.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have a pleasant singing voice; formal vocal training is preferred but not required.
2. The ability to read music.
3. Comfortable singing both traditional and contemporary music.
4. Available to sing at least once a month. Mass times are 5:15 PM on Saturday and 11:00 AM on Sunday.

Pregnancy Center West is seeking a part-time Office Coordinator.

Duties for the position include: 

• Data entry of client file information into eKyros (client database)
• Filing and organizing client files and records, various office forms, reports, and documents
• Inventory and order office supplies and materials
• Inventory and order bottled water, and hospitality items kept on- hand for clients and training events
• Assist in the coordination of various fundraising and event projects – baby bottle campaign, client advocate training days, etc.
• Maintain and coordinate cleaning services and trash removal from office spaces (emptying garbage cans twice a week)
• Set up accounts and coordinate ride services for clients without transportation (Uber and Lyft)
• Coordinate volunteer efforts to sort and put away donations and to assemble new baby bags
• May assist at local churches with fundraising efforts, picking up baby bottles and baby shower donations
• Assist with data entry of development efforts and program
• Assist with mailings – stuffing envelopes or coordinating and directing volunteer staff with these efforts
• Assist with the preparation needed for major fundraising events as needed
• Send out sympathy cards and other correspondence as needed
• Keep track of staff birthdays and coordinate recognition
• Other duties as needed

Primary responsibilities are as follows:

The Catholic Social Action Office of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati is seeking a Regional Coordinator for the Greater Dayton area.

This is a 21-hour position that combines guidance and support for the Dayton-area justice collaborative, Weavers of Justice, and the Northern-area justice collaborative, Fields of Justice, with the more general support for the peace and justice ministries in the northern half of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, as well as a small amount of administrative assistance in the Dayton Office. The coordinator will assist in the Catholic Social Teaching formation and social ministry work in the deaneries in and north of Dayton. This position advances the Catholic Social Action Office’s mission to empower Catholics in the Archdiocese to celebrate and live out the Gospel call for life, human dignity, and care for God’s creation through Catholic Social Teaching formation, organized social ministries, and opportunities for public advocacy and action.

Desired qualifications for this position include:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent (required). Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Catholic social justice ministry and office work.
  • Understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and involvement in social justice issues.
  • Good phone and people skills, including an ability to relate well face-to-face with diverse constituencies
  • Willingness to work as a team, both receiving direction and identifying solutions in a ministerial field.
  • Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods, including telephone, e-mail, personal computer, word processing, copier, facsimile, scanner, and other office systems and record keeping.
