Bread of Life/Pan de Vida Family of Parishes is looking for a Coordinator of Youth Ministry.   The Coordinator of Youth Ministry is responsible for guiding youth in growing in their faith life and as disciples. Duties include weekly youth meetings, organizing/implementing Mission week, youth events/retreats to encourage community building, and coordinating faith formation for junior high/high school students. In addition, the Coordinator of Youth Ministry works with volunteers to coordinate Confirmation preparation program and provides other educational opportunities. The Coordinator of Youth Ministry communicates with the church staff about youth ministry needs, calendar planning, involving the youth in the parish communities.  Bread of Life/Pan de Vida Family of Parishes has five campuses. This position is full time.

Holy Spirit Family of Parishes seeks to hire a full-time Bookkeeper.  Responsibilities include processing payables, supervising revenue sources within accounting systems, and processing data entry in both church tracking systems. Individual reports directly to the Business Manager and assists in communication of company policy with both internal parishioners and external vendors. The Business Manager is an administrator in support of the Pastor’s responsibilities to the parish.  The administrator is a steward of the financial, personnel, and physical resources of the parish.

Major Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of the financial management of the parish, including the church, school, and miscellaneous other parish organizations
  • Leading the human resource function of the parish including hiring, personnel management, and supervision of various departmental employees
  • Managing all physical facilities of the church and school
  • Administering many different aspects of managing the parish on a day-to-day basis

Key Skill, Knowledge and/or Abilities

  • College degree desired and/or five to ten (5-10) years ministry experience
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Good quantitative analytical skills, including financial management
  • Excellent communication, organization, and facilitation skills
  • Comfortable with computer, including ability to manage online parish systems
  • Some experience with facilities management
  • Some supervisory experience
  • Leadership, facilitating and consulting skills
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends

The Coordinator of Youth Ministry will minister to the parish’s high school-aged and junior high school-aged (grades 6-8) youth through vibrant comprehensive Catholic youth ministry, including a Confirmation Ministry, with the goals of leading teens closer to Christ and forming missionary disciples. They will serve as a collaborative member of the parish team and be a “face” of the parish and of Christ.
