The Director of Health Ministries serves St. Gregory the Great (IHM, Guardian Angels, Saint John Fisher parishes) by integrating pastoral care and healthcare knowledge/nursing skills into the promotion of spiritual and physical health and wellness for all parishioners. This position provides coordination and oversight to the many Health Ministry programs which offer direct and indirect services to support the spiritual and physical health and wellness of parishioners.

S/he collaborates with the Family Leadership Team and supports the pastor and other clergy in the ministries of sanctifying, teaching, and governing. S/he works with the team to carry out the Pathways Team recommendations put forth in the Beacons of Light guidelines.

The St. Henry Parishes are looking for a Director of Administration. This is a full-time, salaried position. The Director of Administration is a key member of the administrative staff and reports directly to the pastor. The Director is responsible for effective administration and stewardship of the physical, financial, and human resources of the Family of Parishes (Family), supporting the pastor in his ministry of governance. This position may require some evening/weekend work hours. Please note that this is a general overview of the Director of Administration position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs of the parish.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Payroll, bookkeeping, fundraising oversight
  • Establishes and reviews budget processes in collaboration with relevant staff, finance councils and other commissions.
  • Human resources, supervision and management of administrative staff and parish office
  • Provides oversight and implements systems for the proper management of parish records. This includes proper computer systems, training and maintenance.
  • Provides oversight and works with Facilities Manager to ensure maintenance and needed improvements to all real property of the parish.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Five to ten (5-10) years of business management experience required; Parish or non-profit experience preferred; MBA/MA preferred. Salary starting at $50,000.

St. Henry Parish and School, a member of the NE9 Family of Parishes, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker to perform general and preventative maintenance duties, including, but not limited to, grounds maintenance, minor aircon repairs, and upkeep of the Church and School facilities.

Previous experience in a maintenance-related field is a plus. Physical requirements of the position include significant lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 50 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, climbing ladders, use of tools, and being able to withstand a variety of environmental conditions. In addition, Candidates must be friendly and personable with good communication skills. Candidates must also be available for emergency calls after hours, when necessary.

The Field Superintendent directs the overall operation of the buildings and grounds of Guardian Angels Cemetery to ensure that it is operated efficiently and effectively according to Church guidelines and applicable standards. Responsible for assisting on the cemetery grounds, responses to complaints, working with office administration, and providing customer service. This work will involve reviewing contracts to ascertain service, machine, and workforce requirements concerning all cemetery operations
and help prepare budget estimates.
