The Family of Parishes including St. John Church, West Chester; St. Michael Church, Sharonville; and St. Gabriel Church, Glendale is seeking a Pastoral Associate to serve at St. Michael and St. Gabriel Churches 

The Pastoral Associate for Outreach assists the Pastor by leading and coordinating aspects of parish life other than liturgical and evangelization.  They are responsible for managing the budget in these areas.  They will be part of the parish staff in each parish as they work over the next several years to come together as a single parish entity.  Each and every staff member will have some responsibility for helping parishioners navigate the Beacons of Light pastoral initiative.   

Sacramental 

  • Baptismal preparation
    • Recruits, trains and guides baptismal preparation team 
    • Attends baptism preparation sessions; reviews and approves applications for baptism 
  • Marriage Preparation 
    • Coordinates and supports Fully Engaged Couples 
    • Recruit, train and support Marriage Mentor couples 
    • Oversees 25th/50th Anniversary celebration each Fall 
  • Visitation Ministry 
    • Coordinates the work of parish service to parishioners in hospitals, nursing and retirement homes, the homebound and communion calls 
    • Receives emergency calls from community, screens and passes those needing sacramental ministry to the pastor as appropriate
    • Makes visits to hospitals as appropriate 
  • RCIA  
    • Will collaborate with the RCIA teams at St. John and St. Gabriel Churches 

Pastoral 

  • Collaborates with the Pastor and the rest of the Pastoral Staff for the mission of the parish, including new initiatives as needed 
  • Serves as Staff Contact to the Community Outreach Commission 
    • provides guidance and support to the commission at St Michael 
    • build group at St. Gabriel  
  • Coordinates parish renewal efforts (e.g. Alpha or Welcome) 
  • Assists Stephen Ministry coordinator with the ministry in these two parishes 
  • Is present at Weekend Masses, especially at St. Michael and St. Gabriel 

 Position Requirements 

  • Bachelors Degree in Theology, Pastoral Ministry or related field required; Masters Degree preferred 
  • Supervised employment experience in Ministry
  • Effective interpersonal and group leadership skills 
  • Experience in pastoral counseling/pastoral care 
  • Experience in managing budget 
  • Commitment to ongoing formation and education

Fulltime music director position, starting in October, at St. Christopher Parish in Vandalia, part of the Northeast 10 Family of Parishes.  The position includes the following: playing at all 5:00 Saturday evening Masses, 11:00 Sunday Masses and regularly scheduled school Masses. It also would include playing at some of the 9:00 Sunday morning Masses. Along with musical and keyboard skills, the director should have knowledge of the role music has in the liturgy and plan accordingly. The director will lead Adult Choir, Youth Choir, Funeral Choir, and cantors. The director will also play for special liturgies, including Christmas, Easter, First Communion, Confirmation, etc., as well as funerals and weddings in the parish and be an integral part of the music program for the Family of Parishes.

Part-time (two weeknights and one weekend day) Receptionist/Secretarial Position.  Weekend day will alternate:  either Saturday 3-6 p.m. or Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Friendly, outgoing individual needed for part-time receptionist/secretarial position in the Parish Office. Duties include operation of multi-line phone system, administrative support for the Parish Office operations, record keeping, and computer data entry. Ideal candidate will be a multi-tasker and self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with others. Candidates must have Microsoft skills, proficient keyboarding skills, ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters, ability to relate to a variety of persons, and knowledge of the Catholic faith. Having familiarity with PDS software a plus. 9-11.5 hours a week.

We are seeking an Associate Director of Family and Youth Evangelization (pre-k-5th Grades). This position is full-time with a regular but flexible schedule, working 40+ hours per week. The Associate Director of Family and Youth Evangelization will serve as a member of pastoral staff and is responsible for Family and Youth Evangelization with pre-k through 5th grade youth, including Vacation Bible Camp, Religious Education and Formation classes, Catechist recruitment and formation, family faith formation, weekly gatherings, coordination of first Eucharist and first Reconciliation, and collaboration with Confirmation preparation and formation, and other faith formation efforts at Saint Francis of Assisi and Incarnation Parishes. The definitive aim of such evangelization and discipleship is to put people not only in touch, but in communion and intimacy with Jesus Christ. The ultimate goal is to equip elementary age youth and their families to encounter Jesus Christ through a lifelong process that encourages them to become missionary disciples in the world.
