Kitchen Worker/Part-Time: Reports to: Cafeteria Management Team
General Description:  Part Time Position with hours ranging from 13-19.5 hours a week when school is in session and/or as needed, will vary due to needs and various days the school is not open. Typically, 5 days per week, morning to early afternoon. Assists cook and other cafeteria staff in food preparation and serving, kitchen cleanup, serving area cleanup, cafeteria set up and cleaning, dishwashing, and laundry.
Typical Job Responsibilities:
1. Assists with meal preparation as needed.
2. Set up bussing tables with cleaning containers with soapy water and wash cloths.
3. Sanitizing tables before lunch starts.
4 .Operate the dishwasher and wash and put away dishes as needed.
5. Operate washer and dryer as needed.
6. Folds and stores dish cloths, towels and aprons as needed.
7. Serving lunch on the serving line to Students and Staff.
8. Light cleaning and organizing.

Necessary Qualifications:
1. High school diploma.
2. Former work experience in food service is desirable.
3. Capable of lifting at least 35 pounds, and spending the entire shift on your feet.
4. Capable of maintaining a pleasant and positive work environment.
5. Capable of maintaining a flexible work schedule according to business needs.
6. Must follow State of Ohio Board of Health guidelines in food safety.
7. Must be fingerprinted through the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and complete SafeParish
requirements.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with the following:
– Develop and implement training programs for student-athletes.
– Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.
– Plan and conduct practices, games, and competitions.  Must attend all camps, practices, games, and tournaments.
– Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school administration.
– Manage team logistics, including scheduling, travel, and equipment.
– Ensure compliance with all school, district, and OHSAA policies, as well as GGCL regulations and Mercy Education teachings/values.

Candidates must have experience coaching at the high school or college level or significant experience with high school ages kids.  Candidates must obtain all background checks and licensure as required by the archdiocese.  Candidates must have/be willing to obtain a Pupil Activity Permit and all other OHSAA mandated requirements.  Ideal candidates should be organized, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and be a good role model and leader for students.
