The Community of the Good Shepherd located at 8815 E. Kemper Rd., Cincinnati, OH  45249 is seeking a full-time/part-time Youth Minister(s). The Coordinator(s) are responsible for:

  • Coordinating discipleship efforts for adolescents utilizing a comprehensive youth ministry model, including Confirmation.
  • Utilizing an effective means of communication to both youth and their families about the variety of ministry and program opportunities available.
  • Identifying, training and supporting parish leadership teams of youth and adults who, together with existing parish commissions, implement ministry efforts aimed at addressing evangelization.
  • Developing and maintaining a budget for youth ministry.
  • Providing ongoing education and consciousness-raising for the broader parish about a vision of youth ministry, youth culture, adolescent development, youth needs, etc.
  • Serving as the liaison to other youth-serving agencies within the broader community and to the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
  • Advocating for participation by youth in the ministries and service organizations of the parish.
  • Developing and utilizing evaluative tools for all aspects of the ministry.
  • Coordinating and leading the yearly youth mission trip.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies, Theology, Religious Education, or related field is required. This position requires evening and weekend work.

The Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains is seeking a Parish Administrator/Business Operations Manager (currently 30 hours per week).

The Parish Administrator/Business Operations Manager serves as a staff resource in support of the pastor, fulfilling parish administrative needs regarding the financial and personnel responsibilities of the parish, and contributing through this work to the advancement of the Gospel within the parish.  This person is responsible for the general operations of the Church, Parish Staff, finances, facilities/property management, benefit administration, Human Resources liaison and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Active member of a Roman Catholic parish is preferred
  • Knowledge of how the parish operates and be able to quickly grasp how the parish office functions
  • Knowledge of archdiocesan policies
  • Good record-keeping skills
  • Ability to supervise and manage
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of people
  • Ability to problem solve with limited direction – able to influence decisions, anticipate difficulties and with the Parish Staff and Parishioners, identify, evaluate and implement resolutions with long and short term benefits.
  • College degree and/or five to ten (5-10) years business experience preferred
  • Knowledge of financial, personnel and physical resources management preferred
  • Computer skills and knowledge of accounting required

Advancement Associate/Part-Time: Mount St. Mary’s Seminary & School of Theology seeks a detail-oriented administrative associate to support the Advancement Office.  The Associate works closely with the Database Manager to acknowledge donations and with other staff on department projects as needed. The Advancement Associate assists with events.  The position reports to the Vice President for Development and Relations.

Excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in and comfort with technology are required.  Duties will include: entering donor and alumni data, running reports, producing letters, assisting with events, and special projects as needed.

Pregnancy Center West seeks a full-time Executive Director. The Executive Director (ED) leads day-to-day activities at Pregnancy Center West (PCW). The ED manages employees and maintains relationships with clients, community members, donors, the PCW board and key stakeholders. General responsibilities include assessing community and client needs and collaborating with staff and board to determine the best path to meet those needs. The ED has overall responsibility for the financial health and stability of PCW, working with staff and board to plan and execute fundraising events and cultivating current and new major donors.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Collaborates with the Board of Directors in overall governance of organization
  • Supports organization’s mission through program/ services development and delivery
  • Fosters growth and stability of the organization, including fundraising, public relations, and marketing
  • Responsible for the administration and management of the organization’s resources
  • Demonstrates strong servant leadership by supporting and promoting harmony and a ministry of restoration/reconciliation modeled after Christ’s example. Also leads by serving clients and volunteers lovingly and effectively, therefore supporting and promoting PCW’s pro-life mission
  • Performs special projects or tasks as assigned by the Board.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

The Executive Director should possess the following key qualifications and skills in the execution of all assigned duties as outlined in the Job Description:

  1. Be ardently pro-life and passionate about the mission and ministry of Pregnancy Center West. Be honest. Operate with integrity.  Maintain confidentiality in the management of donor and client records/data. Be flexible, collaborative and cooperative in working with other staff, volunteers, donors and supporters.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in business or nonprofit administration, or related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
  3. Problem solving and program development ability/skills to develop/evaluate programs and administer/manage operations and staff of the organization and resolve problems.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with multiple audiences/constituencies (Board, staff, volunteers, clients, donors, other organizations, government leaders, media) using a variety of formats.
  5. Self-starter with good judgment, integrity, and excellent administration skills.
  6. Willingness and ability to carry out the mission of Pregnancy Center West and serve clients and other PCW’s constituencies (including other staff, donors, vendors, etc.) in a way that honors Jesus Christ and supports and promotes PCW’s life-affirming ministry.
  7. Willingness and ability to share the gospel of Jesus Christ by word and example, to encourage clients, staff, and other PCW constituencies to contribute to an office environment conducive to supporting a ministry of life.
