The Director of Faith Formation administers (designs, develops, directs and evaluates) all parish catechetical and evangelizing programs for this parish of over 1700 families. Through the religious education and sacramental preparation of our youth, this position builds lasting relationships with families, thus setting the stage for adult faith formation opportunities.

Experience with family catechesis and both digital and analog programming are essential elements of this position. Must be a Catholic in good standing. Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies or equivalent required. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum of three years ministerial experience in a Catholic parish. This is a full time position.

Requires evening and weekend hours, including Sunday mornings.

The Comboni Missionaries – North American Province seek a full-time Finance Director to plan, direct, and manage its financial and business affairs. We are a Catholic Religious Community dedicate to servings God’s poorest and most forgotten people around the world.

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THIS POSITION:

Plan, direct, and manage the financial and business affairs of the Comboni Missionaries North American Province (NAP), in conjunction with the Provincial Treasurer.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan, direct, and manage the financial and business affairs of the NAP.
Oversee the Communications, Development and Front Office staff.
Collaborate with the Provincial Treasurer to manage the financial assets of the NAP, including but not limited to: the purchase and sale of property and vehicles, maintaining adequate insurance, and managing lease agreements.
Serve as liaison between the NAP and its legal advisors and financial brokers on a variety of matters.
Collaborate with the Mission Office Director to manage the financial assets of the Mission Office.
Provide quarterly financial reports to the Finance Council, the Provincial Council, General Administration, and Members of the Province.
Coordinate and prepare the annual budget for the NAP.
Coordinate annual Audit or Review.
Manage departmental budgets of the provincial offices and NAP communities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field; or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with general ledger programs, specifically Peachtree.
Effective communicator, both written and oral.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and ability to foster teamwork.
Knowledge of the financial workings of a non-profit organization, especially a religious community.
Knowledge of Word-processing, Spreadsheets, and other standard office software.
Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices.
Organized and detail-oriented.
Knowledge of the Catholic faith, commitment to Gospel values, and belief in the mission of the Comboni Missionaries.
Flexible and able to adapt to the present situation.
Ability to travel to NAP communities (5-percent) and some international travel (5-percent).

Catholic Charities Southwest Ohio is currently accepting applications for a Full Time Accountant

This position is responsible for financial and operating data integrity including maintenance of general ledger and ensuring compliance with financial policies, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Uniform Grant Guide and other requirements as determined by funders. The Accountant is responsible for grant billing and expense reporting. Position will assist with financial reporting and budgeting.

This position will work out of our Cincinnati MidPointe office location (6172 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45237) normal working schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30-pm, and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Essential Job Functions:

Maintain the general ledger and facilitate timely and accurate reporting, including
- Ensuring financial transactions are recorded and are accurate and timely in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and in compliance of federal contract requirements, donor designations, laws, regulations and other contractual terms and conditions.
- Assisting with the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, including revenues, expenses, payroll processing, accounts receivable, invoicing, cash receipts, accounts payable, cash disbursements, credit card disbursements, prepaid expense.
Conduct accurate and timely monthly financial close including month-end journal entries and account reconciliations including
- Ensuring that every significant general ledger account is reconciled to supporting documentation and schedules each month in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensuring that all investment transactions, including dividend and interest income and realized and unrealized gains and losses are recorded in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensuring that program revenue and expenditures are properly coded in compliance with grant requirements
- Assist CFO with preparing monthly financial statements

Maintain a grant/contract management process which to control and streamline reporting and billing for the various funding sources of agency programs; this includes requests for funding, interim and final reporting to funders, and billing. Responsibilities include
- Preparation of invoices, assist with preparation of financial and operating reports, assist with contract audits
- Provide ongoing progress reports on the use of funds compared to budget for program managers
Process monthly credit card bill including matching receipts, coding and posting monthly journal entry.
Generate regular billing for Language Services program. Assist in reconciling Language Services payroll, post cash receipts, maintain accounts receivable sub-ledger and all Language Services program accounts.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required:

Associate’s degree in Accounting.
2+ years of experience in a general accounting environment,
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word; excellent keyboarding
Proven track record in financial system development/maintenance
Proven organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize workload
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with ability to work collaboratively
Attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience with Paycor payroll processing

St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking to hire a qualified Coordinator of Young Adult Ministry. The principle duty in this full-time, exempt position is to develop, coordinate, and serve young adults in the community including those who are single and young families.

SPECIFIC POSITION CONTENT:

Create opportunities for young adults to meet together, find support, and engage in the faith.
Create a core team. The purpose of the core team is to create events, germinate new focuses, as well as inspire freshness and creativity. The core team should be adjusted as time goes.
To increase young adult participation in current parish events and organizations.
To listen to and identify the needs of the young adults. This includes empowering them to create new groups for their common interests, and offering any assistance necessary to form, sustain, manage, and foster these groups.
As the Coordinator for Young Adult Ministry, you will be part of staff and are expected to attend all meetings, as well as be an active team member of the Parish Leadership Team and all the responsibilities that entails.
To be present at Mass, festivals, donut Sunday’s, and other activities and programs to meet and increase the engagement of young adults.
To support marriage and family life in young adults, inspired by the teachings of the Catholic Church. This includes Mom’s Group, but also can include creating programming for dads and others.
To secure wedding reservations for couples seeking the Sacrament of Marriage.
Manages parish communication and promotes all parish events and involvement through Social Media, Flocknote, and the parish websites.
The job includes all other duties assigned, including duties that the pastor needs accomplished for the common good of the parish., i.e; filling in for others as needed and requested, having a presence at festivals and other big events that need support of all staff.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

BA (required) in Philosophy, Theology, Catechetics or related field. Candidates should have, at minimum, one year working in a leadership capacity with young adults in the parish setting, including the successful development and implementation of one or more components of a holistic young adult program.

The Department of Pastoral Services of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati is seeking an Associate Director of the Mission Office. This position works under the direction of the Director of the Mission Office and, in the absence of the Director, assumes some of the duties, excluding financial, MCP (Missionary Co-op Plan) and personnel issues.

The Associate Director of the Mission Office encourages Catholics to engage in supporting mission activity through prayer, service, and fundraising/material support by providing promotion and communications for all activities of the office.
