St. Michael Parish in Sharonville, Ohio, is a 1600 family parish seeking an experienced Coordinator of Religious Education. The CRE will be primarily responsible for the Religious Education Program (REP), which serves our children in public schools, meeting on Sunday mornings. Other duties will include the sacramental preparation for REP children receiving their First Reconciliation and Communion, Confirmation, and pre-school education. Close collaboration with our parish youth minister will be expected.
We anticipate the position to be approximately 20-25 hours, with the potential to transition to full-time should implementation of our region occur in the next few years.
Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies or equivalent strongly preferred. Master’s Degree is ideal.
Minimum of three years ministerial experience in a Catholic parish with Bachelor’s degree; will consider those without parish experience with Master’s degree. Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable networking and building relationships with families.
Requires evening and weekend hours, including Sunday mornings.

The Associate Director for Hispanic Evangelization promotes and safeguards the teaching mission of the Church and exercises this teaching authority as delegated by the Archbishop. The ideal candidate for this position will develop a strong understanding of the Hispanic Catholic communities across the archdiocese and build productive, collaborative relationships within those. Additionally, the Associate Director will assist the Managing Director for Hispanic Evangelization in providing diocesan oversight for Hispanic ministries in parishes and catechetical formation and certification for Hispanic leaders and will collaborate closely and congenially with the entire staff of the Center for the New Evangelization (CNE) and the Department of Communication & Evangelization, as well as other archdiocesan offices. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Cincinnati District Council (SVDP) has been providing innovative and practical basic needs assistance and systemic change advocacy for Cincinnati residents in need for 150 years. The organization works personally with those in need, regardless of race or creed, to bridge the gaps in their lives through home visits provided by neighborhood-based volunteer groups (Vincentians in Conferences); groundbreaking Outreach Center initiatives like the Charitable Pharmacy and Homelessness Prevention program; a network of 12 food pantries; and seven thrift stores across Cincinnati.
Scope of Position: The Ozanam Center Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of programming for the Ozanam Center for Service Learning and overseeing the works and development of Youth Conferences. The Program Coordinator is a full-time, Tuesday through Saturday position. Work weeks will vary seasonally and will include night/weekend work.

Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and three years’ relevant experience. Depth of knowledge of issues of poverty, justice and Catholic Social Teaching; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; an aptitude for communicating orally and in writing; self-motivated; comfort with discussing spiritual life and praying with retreatants; and the ability to effectively relate to people of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds are necessary.
Work Environment: Works both within an office and out of the office – outside in the neighborhood and at local community partner sites. Office Environment – adequately lighted, heated and ventilated. External – walking around West End and adjacent neighborhoods, as well as visiting various community partner sites; environments vary. Evening and weekend hours required, including flexibility in work hours, as retreat schedules necessitate.
