Seton High School, an all-girls Catholic high school sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, seeks a school year based Mental Health and Wellness Clinician.  The school based clinician provides mental health psychotherapy to adolescents, children and families in an outpatient, school-based setting.  The clinician supports the mission of Seton High School in supporting students through crises/mental health challenges with a treatment team approach, and will support the goal of each student working within her Least Restrictive Environment. The candidate should uphold and model a moral code consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church, Sisters of Charity, the mission of Seton High School and Catholic education.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The clinician will be responsible for providing services related to the delivery of mental health care to assigned faculty, staff and students at Seton High School.
  • The clinician will demonstrate strong clinical and assessment skills and is instrumental in furthering the mission of Seton High School.
  • Provides mental health and wellness services and programs that foster prosocial skills and school engagement.
  • Works in partnership with the Academic Advisors, School Social Worker, School nurse and Administrators to identify the mental health needs of students.
  • Creates individualized treatment plans according to student needs and circumstances.
  • Meets with student caseload regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Conducts ongoing assessments of student progress in coordination with Seton administration, staff and family.
  • Provide counseling activities including but not limited to: enhancing coping skills, providing family functioning interventions, promoting communication and social interaction, school accountability and improved attendance; parenting education, substance abuse education and/or treatment, mental health counseling,
  • Develop staff in-service training programs in consultation with the Director of Student Support Services, Program Coordinator and School Social Worker.
  • Provide transparent and proactive communication to the Director of Student Support Services and Principal/Assistant Principal.
  • Participate in special education assessment meetings as well as Individual Educational  Planning Meetings and consulting for the Intervention Assistance Team as needed.

License and Experience

  • Completion of an accredited program with certification and licensure as a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  • At least two years of full-time experience working with students in need of mental health services.

Gate of Heaven Cemetery is seeking a full-time Cemetery Worker/Operator to perform responsible semi-skilled work in the repair, maintenance, and care of its grounds, landscape and related structures.

Duties of this position may include:

  1. Running a backhoe and coordinating the grave crew. Must have experience in digging graves.
  2. Prepares gravesites for interments and assists in loading/unloading caskets.
  3. Repairs graves that have settled.
  4. Install markers, crypt, and niche plaques.
  5. Removes flowers and related items from cemetery grounds as directed.
  6. Works safely and complies with the Cemetery’s operating procedures, including proper use of protective equipment.
  7. Effectively works with others to accomplish tasks.
  8. Shows respect and sensitivity toward visiting families while working in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications:

  1. A high school diploma or the equivalent is required.

JOB SCOPE:

 

The primary duties of the Outreach Coordinator consist of presenting the Center’s chastity education program in local Catholic schools, as well as expanding our community reach by developing chastity education resources for local parents and parishes. The Outreach Coordinator will also be tasked with developing “in-house” chastity education resources to be utilized with clients. When present at the Center, the Outreach Coordinator will also be responsible for speaking with clients on the topic of chastity/self-respect/positive lifestyle choices when requested by volunteers or staff.

 

General Duties:

 

Present chastity education program to local schools in the community:

·         Have a detailed understanding and be able to teach/further develop all curricula including:

o   5th-8th Grade – “The Body Matters” program

o   High School – “The Body Matters” program

o   Parent Night – “How to Talk to

·         Provide insight and new ideas for the program

·         Continue to update the manuals, power point presentations, activities, handouts, and statistics as needed

 

Organize school presentation logistics and outlines:

·         Contact school representatives to request information (assembly times, number of students etc.)

·         Compile information into logistics form for each school

·         Create presentation outlines detailing the order of activities for each day of presentations

·         Maintain record of logistics and outlines for the Pregnancy Center

 

Develop chastity education resources for community members:

·         Build relationships with local parishes, parents of local students, etc and assess needs and desires in regards to            chastity education

·         Create and maintain resources and/or events for said community members

 

Develop chastity education resources for use with clients at the center:

·         Research PCW client demographics and create relevant resources for inspiring more positive lifestyle choices

·         Effectively and lovingly communicate with clients in person, in regard to their own life choices, with the goal of                empowering them to make healthier decisions in regards to their relationships and sexuality

 

Assist with other duties of Pregnancy Center West as needed:

·         Attend Pregnancy Center West fundraisers

·         Assist with fundraisers as available during the summer (mailings, promotional materials, etc)

·         Provide status reports to Executive Director as requested

·         Attend board meetings as requested to report on progress

·         Assist with other client services as needed

The Parish Family of St. Columbkille and St. Augustine is accepting applications for the position of Director of Faith Formation.  The Director of Faith Formation administers (designs, develops, directs, and evaluates) all parish family catechetical and evangelizing programs for the combined parish family with the help of the St. Augustine CRE. Applicant needs to be familiar with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd as well as family-based catechesis.  The Director of Faith Formation will oversee faith formation from preschool – adults. We are looking for a missionary disciple who is a fully initiated and practicing member of the Catholic Church.  A degree in Theology/Catechetics or Certification in Parish Catechetical Leadership is preferred. St. Clement Parish in St. Bernard (Cincinnati) is seeking a full time Parish Director of Faith Formation.

Overview of Position:

The Parish Director of Faith Formation is responsible for parish Faith Formation from birth to death through the lens of a family perspective. The Faith Formation goal is evangelization to accompany families (of all sizes and dynamics) through a discipleship path, so that they encounter Jesus and become missionary disciples in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement a comprehensive approach to faith formation with an evangelization lens and in the spirit of St. Francis to meet the needs of families of all sizes and dynamics throughout the liturgical year
  • In collaboration with the pastor and staff, plan an annual calendar of programming and formational opportunities
  • Articulate a clear vision/mission for lifelong formation with a family perspective through the lens of evangelization to parents, youth, staff, and parishioners
  • Provide a variety of faith formation opportunities for persons of all ages using a family perspective through the lens of evangelization and Franciscan Spirituality
  • Recruit, form, equip, send, and accompany catechists and families through sacramental ministries of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, Baptism, First Communion, First Reconciliation, and Confirmation. Resource the pastor, deacons and lay volunteers in the area of marriage ministry
  • Children and Youth including the Parish School: Evaluate and implement curriculum and supplemental curriculum available for youth programs to best meet the needs of the youth and their families, in compliance with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Graded Course of Study for Religion
  • Oversee the marketing and advertising of programs and events under the umbrella of Faith Formation and Evangelization
  • Conduct program evaluations and assessments to determine effectiveness of initiatives and refine efforts (including the evaluation of volunteers and direct reports)
  • Coordinate registration and collection of fees for programs
  • Support the Worship Commission especially in the area of sacramental celebrations and faith formation on liturgical seasons

Candidate Expectations:

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Strongly prefer a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies, Theology, Religious Education, or related field, or commensurate ministry experience.
  • Must have spiritual maturity, defined as a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who is faithful to the Magisterium, consistent in one’s prayer life, regularly receiving the sacraments, and able to speak of one’s relationship with Jesus
  • Must have a broad understanding of and ability to articulate Church teaching in pastoral ministry
  • Must have experience mentoring and accompanying adults at different stages of the discipleship path
  • Must be able to pray in front of and with others, to lead and participate in spontaneous prayer
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people using the spoken word, both within one-on-one coaching/apprenticing situations and in large group settings
  • Being Biligual English-Spanish would be a HUGE asset to this position that serves St. Clement School which has one-third first generation families from Latin America and a growing parish number of parishioners who are first generation families from Latin America who regularly worship, seek sacraments and faith formation at St. Clement

Working Environment:

This position requires frequent evening, weekend and off-site work.  It also includes essential collaboration with pastoral staff, parish organizations, the school, volunteers and nearby parishes.
