The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of Moeller’s Mission and talent strategy. This person will function as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team regarding key organizational and management issues.  In addition, this person is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall Mission and strategic direction of the school, including cultural consistency, change management, and organizational development. The HR Director provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the executive management team, stakeholders, and the board of directors.  This position reports directly to Moeller high school’s president.

Primary Functions: The Director manages the Development Program for St. Leo Church and Food Pantry and St. Boniface Church and School and collaborates with the Pastor, Principal, Business Manager and staff to secure funding for necessary programming and development of services provided by each institution. The Director of Development fulfills the mission of the churches, food pantry and school by planning, guiding, and evaluating the development efforts of the churches, food pantry and school in fundraising, marketing, event planning, grant writing, relationship building, and communication. The Director is to have a passion to promote the churches, food pantry, and school with a strong focus on results through effective oral and written communications skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Knowledge of a broad range of development activities including, but not limited to, grant writing, special events, fund appeals, planned giving, major gifts and capital fund development.
  • Develop an annual strategic fundraising and related communications plan in conjunction with parish and school leadership
  • Responsible for overall communication with the public in regard to fundraising and marketing of the programs
    • Annual reports
    • Donor base
    • Holiday and special event greetings and notifications
  • Creates a donor cultivation plan and maintains the donor database
  • Coordinates visits and meetings between parish and school leadership with potential major donors
  • Seeks and executes the composition of grants to support the outreach and services provided by each institution
  • Responsible for the integrity of St. Boniface and St. Leo branding and marketing including the social media platforms
  • Creates and implements an alumni relations program
  • Organize events to showcase the school and parishes
  • Develop local business relationships to support programming of the school and parishes
  • Coordinate the various parish festivals and develop new sponsorship relationships for each festival

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to effectively manage numerous projects simultaneously and work independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years experience
  • Knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic church is helpful, but not required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, exceptional organizational, record-keeping skills, computer skills necessary to manage parish system
  • Must have good facilitation skills and the ability to manage a team of people set to task while presenting oneself professionally
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must have ability to prioritize and to be flexible

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Director of Faith Development. The Director will be tasked with providing oversight and support to Campus Ministers, teachers of Religion, and Theology departments within the 88 elementary and 23 secondary schools in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The Director will also vet educational resources and programs for orthodoxy and quality. He/she must practice and have a love of the Catholic Faith, and a desire to use his/her God-given talents to lead souls toward salvation.

The Director of Faith Development will report directly to the Deputy Superintendent of Catholic Identity, work with the Catholic Identity Team, and build productive and mutually respectful relationships with all co-workers and Catholic school personnel.
