This campus minister has a particular focus on cultivating a culture of faith reflective of the rich diversity of LatinX students and for accompanying upper division students in faith as part of Neighborhood Ministry in Campus Ministry (NOT a live-in role). Pastorally accompanies LatinX students and initiates culturally aware campus ministry programs and collaborative endeavors to celebrate faith and spiritual growth. Initiates opportunities for spiritual growth; engages in evangelization and outreach; creates opportunities for Catholic catechesis, faith formation, and religious literacy; builds faith communities; and fosters student leadership in ministry in the student neighborhood. Participates as an active member of the campus ministry team and embodies a commitment to Catholic and Marianist ideals while cultivating the faith life of the campus community through transformative encounters with God.

St. Charles Parish in Kettering, Ohio is seeking an energetic candidate with a fire for faith to envision and execute engaging ministries for youth and young adults that will encourage a deeper relationship with Christ and the community that is His Church.

POSITION PURPOSE: Develop and implement Christ centered youth and young adult ministries including community building, catechesis, evangelization, social action and spirituality.  This position is flexible for part-time or full-time hours dependent upon the needs of the right candidate and may increase to include our two sister parishes as we move through the Beacons of Light process (for more information about Beacons of Light go to www.catholicaoc.org/beacons-of-light).

MAJOR DUTIES INCLUDE:
1.   Participates in comprehensive planning, implementation, and evaluation of parish’s programs, goals, and objectives, with specific focus on evangelization of youth and young adults.
2.  Serves as a professional resource to parish staff regarding Youth and Young Adult ministry.
3.  Participates in all Staff meetings and activities.
4.  Assures development of programs and activities for both middle and high school youth that foster spiritual formation and on-going faith opportunities including but not be    limited to: retreats, religious education, socials, recreation, youth-oriented liturgies, outreach programs, and community service.
5.  Assures development of programs and activities for young adults that foster spiritual growth, development and a place to build community.
6.  Recruits, enables, trains and oversees, volunteers involved with youth programs and activities.
7.  Administers Youth and Young Adult Ministry budget.
8.  Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required for ministry.
9.  Performs other duties as appropriately assigned by Pastor.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
1.  Active member of a Catholic Parish Community.
2.  Bachelors degree (Theology or Education preferred)
3.  Previous experience in Youth Ministry, teaching, or working with youth preferred.

St. Charles Borromeo is a welcoming suburban parish including 6000 registered members and an elementary school of 500 students.  With a wide range of active ministries and a strong social justice presence, we live out our faith together with our family of parishes in the Kettering Catholic Community -St. Albert the Great and Church of the Ascension.

The Position:  The Pastoral Associate for Adult Faith Formation creates and executes a        multi-dimensional approach to forming the faith of adults in the parish from initial conversion to Christ through growth as missionary disciples.  The Pastoral Associate will offer special emphasis toward young families and adults while providing opportunities for all adult age groups.  The successful candidate is creative, a self-starter and well-grounded in Church teaching and evangelization skills.  This position works in a team environment with the Pastor, staff, and volunteers and requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Education/Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies or Education with a major focus in Theology.  Experience in parish ministry with adults is preferred.

Applicant should be a practicing Catholic in good standing.

In meeting the needs of the pastor and parish community, the candidate will have a flexible work schedule.  Weekday office hours, evening and weekend hours are required. This is a full-time position with benefits. Part-time and work-at-home options may be considered for the right candidate.

The Parish Family of St. Francis de Sales and St. Philip the Apostle is accepting applications for a full-time office manager/bookkeeper. The primary duties are providing human resources support including tracking and approving timesheets of hourly staff, providing extensive bookkeeping and payroll services, and computer support services to include acting as first contact for all end user support calls within the parishes and school. Candidate must have bookkeeping experience, advanced knowledge of Office 365 with an aptitude for diagnosing basic computer malfunctions/errors and providing end-user support as needed (training can be provided to the right candidate), excellent interpersonal communication skills, supervisory experience, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all areas. A high school diploma or equivalent is required with extra training in bookkeeping and computer/technical support preferred.
