Description: This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. The Campus Minister collaborates with and reports to the Director of Ministry to help students, faculty, and staff deepen their relationship with Jesus and better understand their call to use their gifts and talents to build a more just world as persons for and with others.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provides a pastoral presence and living witness to the Gospel for the St. Xavier community.
  • Intentionally accompanies students in their daily lives of Christian discipleship and supports students from other faith traditions in their religious journeys.
  • Collaborates with other members of the department and with the student ministry team on mission and ministry visioning and programming, including, but not limited to, school liturgies, daily Examens, and initiatives specific to liturgical seasons.
  • Participates in the ongoing discernment of the Campus Ministry Department regarding the various ministry needs of our community and which department members’ gifts are best suited to meet them.
  • Supports student retreat programming, which includes coordinating transportation and logistics, working with student and adult members of retreat teams, and personally facilitating some retreats.
  • Helps develop a climate of hospitality in the department office for students, faculty, and staff who visit throughout the day.
  • Provides support to the Director of Student Activities and Director of Community Service on ministry-related initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Person of integrity with a strong Christian spiritual life, familiarity with Ignatian spirituality, and commitment to Jesuit education
  • Practicing Catholic
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Intervention Specialist – Full-Time Position 2026-2027 School Year

The Coordinator of Alpha & Young Adults (AYA) reports to the Managing Director of Evangelization (DE) and is a key member of the Evangelization Team. The AYA is a person who is passionate about introducing people to the love of Jesus through radical hospitality, and accompanying individuals along their journey of discipleship, ultimately helping people become missionary disciples.  The AYA can engage individuals directly, as well as coordinate, train, and lead groups of volunteers in the work of evangelizing at the earliest stages of the discipleship pathway.  The AYA will also set out to create and implement a strategic plan to engage young adults and provide opportunities for them to grow in faith with one another.

The AYA should have a strong working knowledge of Alpha and its charisms.  This person should be a team player, who understands ministry in a large church context, a self-starter, reliable, detail-oriented, and driven who is excited to join a growing Catholic community with a vibrant culture. The role will require a firm understanding of our parish mission, vision, and adult discipleship pathway; and will require frequent collaboration with the Coordinator of Marriage Enrichment.
