The Opportunity
Ascension Catholic School is seeking a visionary, faith-filled leader to serve as Principal of its K-8 elementary school. Key Responsibilities

·    Strategic Leadership: Form and guide the school’s long-term strategic plan, ensuring alignment with MGFP’s vision for growth.

·    Spiritual Formation: Drive the faith development of both students and staff, acting as a visible model of Catholic values.

·    Academic Excellence: Oversee curriculum implementation and faculty development to maintain high standards of student achievement.

·    Collaborative Management: Work closely with the MGFP Director of Schools and fellow principals at St. Albert the Great and St. Charles to build a cohesive family of schools.

Requirements

·    Faith: Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church (Letter of Good Standing required).

·    Education: Master’s degree in Educational Administration or a related field.

·    Experience: Minimum of 5 years of Catholic school teaching experience.

·    Leadership: Proven track record in administrative leadership (e.g., Assistant Principal or Principal role).

·    Licensure: Valid Ohio Principal License.

·    Skills: Exceptional communication, public relations, and the ability to lead effectively within a complex, multi-parish organizational setting.

Qualifications
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
•       A minimum of five years of experience as a teacher leader or administrator in a Catholic high school
•       Demonstrated leadership in student life, school culture, or student development programs
•       Strong technology skills and experience using digital tools to support school operations
•       Experience with school information systems (SIS) and learning management systems (LMS)

Education:
•       Master’s degree required
•       Administrative licensure complete or in process
