St. Michael Parish and School is seeking a full-time Director of Communications.

The Director of Communication is responsible for the parish’s overall strategic plan for internal and external communications.  The Director will be responsible for the planning, development and implementation of parish and school communication via email, social media (Facebook and Instagram primarily), website, parish app, weekly bulletin, and quarterly newsletter.   Particular attention will be necessary to the implementation of our Family of Parishes over the next several years; collaboration will be necessary with the staff of the other parishes.  The Director will work with our parish and school staff to create an effective overall presentation of the Gospel message in a way that will help draw the faithful and others into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.  It is preferred (though not absolutely necessary) that candidates be Roman Catholic, along with being familiar with parish life.

The CISE Office Coordinator/Donor Relations Manager serves two roles: 1. Is responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day operations for CISE, and 2. Administration of and managing the Raiser’s Edge database (RE NXT) while maintaining a good working relationship with CISE donors and volunteers.

Office Coordinator: Oversees office operations, office-related and administrative activities, leads scheduling for the Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, and Governance Committee, plans for the meetings (includes agenda, meeting reminders, booking room, refreshment, information packets, and coordination with security/parking, welcoming members, and taking minutes). Keeps track of office necessities and supplies and ordering as necessary. Is the liaison with outside vendors. Provides administrative support to the Executive Director. Assists in opening mail and logging in checks, cash, and stock received as necessary. Is the main point of contact by email and phone for the CISE office. Assists with the planning and execution of CISE special events.

Donor Relations Manager: Is the administrator of Raiser’s Edge/RE NXT and maintains the integrity of the database, updates as necessary, stays current on use of RE NXT. Enters gift into RE database. Merges and prints letters to donors from RE. Oversees access to RE NXT. Runs queries/exports/reports as needed. Works on the CISE campaign with the Campaign Chair(s) and Steering Committee. Has the ability to work congenially with the CISE board, a variety of constituencies, the business community, donors, school communities, volunteers, and parents. Tracks and responds to life events of office staff, board members, and donors as much as possible. Maintains friendly, helpful relationship with board, donors, and all contacts of CISE. St. Ursula Academy of Cincinnati, Inc. seeks a dynamic individual to fill the role of Senior Director of Equity, Inclusion and Student Life (SDEISL).

This position serves as a catalyst to promote a culture of inclusion, well-being, and belonging in accordance with our mission statement and core values. The SDEISL provides strategic and programmatic leadership for inclusive initiatives that advance belonging and well-being within social, academic, and intellectual life by recognizing, educating, creating, and implementing plans to promote equity and inclusion within the SUA community; specifically, the development and implementation of an inclusive curriculum and student programming for the Saint Ursula Academy community. This is a full-time, 12-month position, and reports directly to the Principal.

Position Summary

Promotes the Mission of the Sisters of the Precious Blood “to be a life-giving, reconciling presence in our fractured world” through education, advocacy and action on issues of justice according to the circumstances of our time.  Represents the Sisters of the Precious Blood by networking and participating with local, state, and national organizations relevant to social justice and ecological issues in keeping with the priorities of the Congregation.

As a passionate advocate for systemic change, the Peace, Justice and Ecology Coordinator will work closely and collaborate with other CPPS congregations and not-for-profit organizations to address systemic change.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Serves as a resource person to educate and provide opportunities that will lead the Congregation to a deeper understanding of the root causes of injustice that undermines peace and environmental sustainability.
  2. Sets annual goals, in consultation with the leadership team, to advance Congregational initiatives as established by the Assembly directives.
  3. Stays abreast of and as possible, actively collaborates with other women religious congregations and organizations e.g. (LCWR, NBCC, UISG, GV, AHMLA etc.).
  4. Stays abreast of current national and state legislative actions that address the Congregation’s interests and communicates to appropriate audiences any opportunities to engage with legislators at the local/state/national level.
  5. Works closely with the leadership liaison and participates with internal committees/teams involved in peace and justice efforts.
  6. Prepares and monitors an annual budget and provides a monthly report to the leadership team for justice and peace efforts.
  7. In collaboration with the Communications Office, promotes internal and external awareness of prominent issues and actions being taken on them. Prepares public statements on matters of social justice.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and a passion for social justice.
  2. Minimum of three years’ experience in social justice advocacy or direct service to the poor, marginalized and the excluded.
  3. Direct working understanding of Catholic Social Teaching.
