The Mental Health Therapist will be bilingual in Spanish and will provide culturally competent mental health services to children and adults who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situations or mental health concerns. Therapist will complete diagnostic assessments and make recommendations appropriate mental health treatment. Therapist will work with individuals and their families in treatment to help them reach their therapeutic goals and reduce symptoms of distress and major mental illness. The therapist will coordinate with other providers to help to provide high quality care. Services will be offered in the office and virtually.

The Director of Adult Discipleship is a person who is passionate about making and maturing disciples by uniting a basic understanding of Church teaching with a great love for people at any step in their walk with Jesus.
The ideal candidate should be an inspirational leader with excellent relationship skills, and a strong vision for building community groups where people can get connected with one another and grow in an intentional way. The Director of Adult Discipleship should be a committed Catholic disciple with experience shepherding and developing small group ministries, comfortable and energetic in front of large groups of people, and must be able to recruit, train, care, and shepherd leaders. This person should also be a team player who understands ministry in a large church context, a self-starter, reliable, and driven who is excited to join a growing Catholic community with a vibrant culture. Assists older adults living with mental illness, to be more active and less isolated through participation in social and recreational activities. This position reports directly to the Guardianship Chums Program Director, and interacts with volunteers, staff, clients, community, and others as necessary. The successful candidate must possess empathy, sensitivity, patience, good listening and communication skills. Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of support services in the Greater Dayton region. Ability to work with people from a wide range of social, cultural and religious backgrounds. OhioKAN is an innovative statewide Kinship and Adoption Navigator Program that supports formal and informal kin caregivers and adoptive parents by providing information and referral services and assistance obtaining support services. Building on current and previous Ohio kinship navigator programs, OhioKAN is distinguished by its planned statewide implementation, broad population of families served, and provision for rigorous evaluation. Contingent on evaluation results, OhioKAN may establish a new evidence-based practice model that may be considered for federal payments under the Family First Prevention Services Act of 2018.
OhioKAN builds the necessary community and systems capacity to support families and works directly with kinship and adoptive families to build confidence and connections. Anticipated outcomes to be measured include greater family resilience, improved family functioning, increased stability and permanency for children, and improved child well-being.
