We are currently seeking a passionate, Christ-centered, people-focused leader to serve as our Director of Formation and Evangelization at St. Clement Church. We are a bilingual parish (English and Spanish) so bilingual conversational and writing skills are required. An understanding of Latino cultures is also important, with many of our Spanish-speaking parishioners coming from Guatemala and Mexico.

This key position supports and advances our parish mission by overseeing and coordinating formation processes, including sacramental preparation, and guiding evangelization and outreach efforts.

As a Director of Formation you will lead, teach, inspire, and create lasting spiritual impact with children, youth, teens, and adults. You will work closely with parish and diocesan leadership to implement engaging and effective faith formation initiatives for all ages. While our parish elementary school faculty instruct the students in the faith, the Director of Formation coordinates the efforts where the school and parish come together, for example in the celebration of First Communion and Confirmation, and in the weekly celebration of the School Mass. Some assistance with Children’s Faith Formation at St. Francis Seraph, the other parish in our Franciscan Family of Parishes, may be needed.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep love for the Catholic faith, strong leadership skills, and a desire to empower individuals and families to build vibrant domestic churches and grow as missionary disciples.

As Director of Evangelization you will work closely with the parish staff in leading and coordinating outreach efforts to former parishioners, as well as to newcomers to the community.

Qualified applicants for this position in our Franciscan Family of Parishes must:

  • Be a practicing Catholic in good standing (a registered member of a Catholic parish faith community).
  • Believe and profess the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and be able to promote and proclaim them.
  • Have familiarity with various models of catechetical formation and evangelization models, as well as familiarity with or desire to learn about religious customs and expressions such as Stations of the Cross, Posadas, and Quinceañeras.
  • Have good computer skills, including the ability to use common software applications such as Outlook, manage files and folders, utilize internet browsers, and update social media.
  • Have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive to multiple locations with self-provided reliable transportation.
  • Have Advanced Catechetical Certification or the equivalent in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati or make a commitment to complete the certification within 24 months of employment.
  • Successfully pass Criminal Background checks and complete Safe Environment requirements for the archdiocese and maintain this clearance.

The position is full-time exempt. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends, is necessary to succeed in this position.
