The Archdiocese of Cincinnati seeks a Superintendent of Schools to be a champion of faithful, integral Catholic formation and education that flows from the heart of the Church’s mission and charter for Catholic schools for its nearly 40,000 students in 110 primary and secondary schools, committed to evolving these schools into communities of evangelization for the students and their families. The Superintendent of Catholic Schools must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church (to be verified by pastor reference) who faithfully lives the precepts of the Catholic Church; assents to, and will unabashedly defend, all the Church’s teachings; and is passionate about introducing others to Jesus through the ministry of teaching. The successful candidate will be a transformational leader with a demonstrated track record of directing staff; influencing and leading people who are not direct reports; and creating and implementing a comprehensive program of Catholic education, including Catholic leadership development and staff formation.

The Superintendent reports directly to the Archbishop of Cincinnati and is a member of the Archbishop’s leadership team. The Superintendent must be a model of professional conduct and always represent the Archdiocese of Cincinnati with honesty and integrity.

Saint Ursula Academy, located in East Walnut Hills, is a Catholic, college-preparatory, secondary school for young women started by the Ursuline Sisters of Cincinnati.

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician II who will report to the Facilities Manager. This is a full time, 12 month position whose availability to respond to campus emergencies outside of normal business hours is needed. This position will perform preventative and general maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other equipment, furniture and fixtures throughout the campus. In addition, this position will be responsible for painting and light carpentry work, as needed.  An ability to read and interpret building blueprints and documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals is required.

A minimum of four years experience in a school facility or maintenance &/or mechanical trade is required and experience with HVAC is considered a plus.  Physical requirements of the position include significant lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 50 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, climbing ladders, use of tools, and being able to withstand a variety of environmental conditions.

Salary range is $20-23 per hour. Competitive compensation package includes medical, dental and vision insurance benefits, 403(b) retirement plan with a 6% employer contribution after 24 months of service, 2 weeks of paid vacation, 23 paid holidays with additional time allotted for sick days, and a $50,000 life insurance policy with access to additional voluntary life for the employee, spouse and dependents. Tuition remission is provided for the employee’s daughter(s) attending Saint Ursula Academy incrementally up to 100% (after 5 years of service). Employee, spouse, and qualifying dependent(s) are also eligible to receive a University of Cincinnati Business Scholarship for qualifying online classes.
