This individual will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the school’s administrative functions by working closely with the administration team to manage emails, calendars, data, meetings, events, and communications while providing support in a variety of other administrative functions. The parish of the Cathedral of Christ the King, located in the Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Liturgy. This is a growing parish of 1600 families and a large school with grades K-8, with twice a day daily Masses (and a weekly school Mass) as well as one Saturday evening and four Sunday Masses. The Director of Liturgy collaborates with clergy, parish leadership, staff and ministry leaders/volunteers to prepare, coordinate and execute all parish liturgical celebrations to provide a quality liturgical experience that celebrates and strengthens the parishioners journey of faith and encourages “full conscious and active participation” as called for by the Second Vatican Council. The Director also works closely with the Diocesan Liturgical Commission as regards to diocesan liturgies taking place at the Cathedral. This is a salaried, exempt, full-time position that requires some evening and weekends.
