Facilities/Maintenance Technician: Full-Time: Facilities/Maintenance Technician will work in the Facilities Department of the school and assist with supporting and maintaining Archbishop McNicholas High School’s main campus buildings, grounds and athletic fields.
Qualifications and Experience: Three years of building maintenance and grounds related experience.  Must be familiar with the use of equipment related to building and grounds maintenance activities.  High School Diploma or GED equivalent.  Specific skill or trade certifications are beneficial.  This position is supervised by and will work closely with the Manager of Facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Technician will maintain the equipment, facilities, and infrastructure of the campus.

Building Maintenance

  • Various tasks related to the operations of the grounds and buildings of the school
  • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
  • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, classrooms, parking lots, and all outdoor spaces
  • Perform painting, carpentry, and limited masonry work
  • Hang and fit doors, repair locks and install hardware
  • Replace and install windows and window panes
  • Hang shelves and wall-mounted items. Move and repair furniture
  • Building, renovation, and remodeling projects as necessary
  • Perform simple to moderate plumbing projects
  • Perform simple to moderate electric maintenance
  • Perform minor repairs of equipment and food service appliances
  • Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities such as completing maintenance orders
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions

Grounds Maintenance

  • Ensure all exterior surfaces are maintained in a safe and attractive condition
  • Maintain all athletic facilities (indoor and outdoor) for practices and games
  • Assist with maintaining all aspects of campus security
  • Perform ground maintenance which may include mowing, weed control, light landscaping, snow and ice removal.
  • Perform or assist with building and exterior repairs.
  • Event set up and tear down
  • Occasional event coverage on nights and weekends
  • Perform trash disposal service on the high school campus if needed

Custodial Services

  • Perform, when necessary, the daytime and after-hours custodial service and urgent needs of the faculty, staff, and students of the school
  • Manage the custodial needs of the daily food service area
  • Manage the requirement of daily trash and recycling service of the school

**The above list of duties is an attempt to be complete.  But this position is expected to perform all duties needed and necessary.  We realize that most duties are encompassed above, but the job duties are not limited to only those listed above.

Grades K-8: Intervention Specialist/Full-Time: We are seeking a passionate K-8 Intervention Specialist.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intervention strategies, special education, and a deep understanding of the unique needs of K-8 students. – Provide ongoing support and guidance to families receiving Jon Peterson Scholarships, including connecting them with resources and services as needed.

**Qualifications: **

– Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
– Valid teaching license/certification or eligible for a license in Special Education (K-12).
– Proven experience implementing intervention strategies and supporting students with diverse learning needs (preferred).
– Knowledge of best practices in special education, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Response to Intervention (RTI) frameworks.
– Familiarity with Jon Peterson Scholarship program requirements and regulations (preferred).
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Commitment to continuous professional growth and learning.
