The Eastside Family of Parishes, which includes St. Cecilia Oakley and St. Mary Parish Hyde Park is looking to hire a Communications Director for the Family of Parishes to promote a parish culture of worship, truth, and beauty.  The primary responsibility of the position is to maintain, create and implement a cohesive internal as well as external communications plan for the Family of Parishes.  The Director of Communications will plan, organize, manage, and oversee the successful completion of all communication aspects of the S-9 Family of Parishes and provide support to St. Cecilia  and St. Mary Catholic Schools.  The Director of Communications is responsible for implementing the Pastor’s vision for internal and external branding, assessing and building Family engagement, and developing an integrated communication strategy with a focus on the Family target audience.

On a day-to-day basis the Pastoral Assistant works with the Parish Life Director and the Pastor to provide direct personal outreach and pastoral care for the parishioners. In terms of all long-range development of spiritual, social, educational programs the Pastoral Assistant supports the Director of Parish Life and the Pastor in developing and maintaining programs and contacts that enhance the engagement of the parishioners in parish life.

St. Helen Parish and School, a member of the NE7 Family of Parishes, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker to perform general and preventative maintenance duties, including, but not limited to, grounds maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep of the Church and School facilities.

Previous experience in a maintenance-related field is a plus. Physical requirements of the position include significant lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 50 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, climbing ladders, use of tools, and being able to withstand a variety of environmental conditions. In addition, Candidates must be friendly and personable with good communication skills. Candidates must also be available for emergency calls after hours, when necessary.

The Associate Director of Social Mission – St. Xavier Church is a full-time position responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of St. Xavier Church’s social mission and outreach initiatives related to the Jesuit’s Universal Apostolic Preference 2, Walking with the Excluded. With the support and oversight of the Parish Family Director of Sustainability and Social Mission, the Associate Director helps to coordinate anti-poverty initiatives, service opportunities, and the Ignatius House project that hosts migrant families as they stabilize. This position employs the latest digital tools and community organizing best practices to draw new and current parishioners into further in-person encounters with the social mission of the Church.

St. Margaret of York is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time Administrative Assistant position in the parish office. The Administrative Assistant provides receptionist, secretarial, clerical, record-keeping and other general services to the parish staff.

The applicant must have excellent customer service skills, as well as above average computer skills and experience using various Microsoft Office programs. Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills are required. The applicant must have the ability to prioritize, be flexible, and must maintain strict confidentiality at all times. Previous experience working in a parish office is desired but not required.
