The NW-2 Family of Parishes including St Patrick – Glynwood, St Teresa – Rockford, Our Lady of Guadalupe- Montezuma, Holy Rosary-St Marys, Immaculate Conception-Celina, is seeking a Director of Evangelization. The Director of Evangelization is responsible for supervising and managing the Evangelization and Faith Formation Teams at NW-2 Family of Parishes. The Evangelization and Faith Formation Teams includes Coordinators and Youth Ministers for Youth (K-5), Youth (6-12), Adult Evangelization, and Marriage and Family Evangelization. The Evangelization and Faith Formation Teams are responsible for all efforts of accompanying youth, adults, and families through the Process of Evangelization so that the parish is creating missionary disciples.  The Director of Evangelization must be able to articulate and implement a clear vision/mission for Evangelization to parents, youth, staff, and parishioners.

Strongly prefer a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies, Theology, Religious Education, or related field, or commensurate ministry experience. Must have spiritual maturity, defined as a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who is faithful to the Magisterium, consistent in one’s prayer life, regularly receiving the sacraments, and able to speak of one’s relationship with Jesus. Must have a broad understanding of and ability to articulate Church teaching regarding evangelization, catechesis, prayer, sacraments, and ecclesiology. Must have experience mentoring and accompanying adults at different stages of the discipleship path. Must be able to pray in front of and with others, to lead and participate in spontaneous prayer. Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people using the spoken word, both within one-on-one coaching/mentoring situations and in large group settings. The Parish Coordinator of Communications (CC) is a member of the parish staff that works with the pastor and staff to utilize all communication tools at the parish’s disposal to create and implement a cohesive internal, as well as external, communication plan for the NE7 Family of Parishes. The CC will plan, organize, and manage the successful completion of all communication aspects of the NE7 Family of Parishes. This includes but is not limited to the church bulletin, newsletter, website, social media sites, flyers, direct mail, letters, and any other communication for the NE7 Family of Parishes. We are a bilingual Family of Parishes, and a working knowledge of the Spanish language is preferred but not required.

St. John the Baptist is seeking an individual for a part-time position (20-30 hours/week) as a Maintenance Person. The position will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to building and grounds maintenance.  Some physical labor and some off hours in case of emergency will be required.

Qualified candidates will have a base knowledge in such areas as HVAC, electric, and plumbing and have the ability to handle the physical nature of the job.
