Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church has an opening for a full time Coordinator of Music Ministry to lead the music program for the parish helping the worshipping community to pray by supporting liturgies with vibrant and inspirational music.

Candidate for this position should be proficient in organ and piano, be able to sight read music and have suitable vocal skills. Candidate should be passionate about the church’s liturgical tradition as well as today’s current practice. This candidate will be a staff member, attend staff meetings and work collaboratively with pastoral staff.

The Coordinator of Music Ministry plans and leads music at two weekend Masses, Saturday 4:30pm and Sunday 11:00am with choirs, Thursday morning school Mass, funeral Masses, all Holy Day Masses and special liturgies and events as needed. Providing music at weddings is additional compensation.

Responsibilities include directing and rehearsing choirs and volunteer musicians, creating power point presentations for Masses, file and maintain music records, coordinate music ministry bulletin communications, care for musical equipment and the operation of sound equipment.

This candidate should have the ability to cultivate and recruit volunteers for participation in the Music Ministry program both choir and musicians.

This newly created regional position will serve the up-and-coming Uptown Catholic Region in Clifton (St. Monica – St. George Parish, Annunciation Parish & School, Holy Name Parish, Corryville Catholic Grade School, and the University of Cincinnati Newman Center).  This individual will be responsible for overseeing a unified religious education program at all the parishes and coordinating with the parish schools concerning Catholic education.  The responsibilities would include crafting an overall strategy for adult formation, which would include family formation for children, managing catechists, sharing responsibility for RCIA, overseeing sacramental preparation for the unified program, and collaborating with the college campus ministry and grade schools (as needed).

The requirements are a theology degree from a Catholic University, 5+ years of experience as a Director of Religious Education, and experience in the evangelization of young adults.

 

St. Veronica Parish in Mt. Carmel, OH seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Director of Religious Education and RCIA for a parish of 1450 families. The candidate for consideration will provide a comprehensive faith formation program from pre-school through 8th grade for children attending public school; organize and coordinate sacramental preparation  for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation; conduct the Vacation Bible School program for one week in the summer; provide formation for adults seeking to belong to the Catholic church through sacraments of initiation, and, work with other parish and school staff to coordinate these responsibilities.

The successful candidate would have a minimum of three years of ministerial experience in a Catholic parish with a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Theology, or Religious Education preferred, but associated fields are acceptable. Previous faith formation experience is desired. Master’s Degree is ideal. Must have good communication and collaboration skills.

The position is full-time, salaried with regular evening and Sunday hours per month.

For the academic year of 2021-22, the religious education program will be a combination of monthly in-person classes for children with parent and small group meetings and parent-led at-home learning.

The Church of the Incarnation in Centerville, Ohio is seeking candidate for the position for Director of Religious Education (DRE).

The Director of Religious Education is responsible for the leadership and administration of the religious education program in the parish. This includes, but is not limited to sacramental preparation, early childhood and school age religious education, identifying and training volunteers and serving on appropriate parish committees. This position does have support staff.

Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church has an opening for a Hispanic Ministry Coordinator.

This full-time position will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate Spanish-language liturgies
    • Train and manage volunteers.
  • Coordinate Faith Formation
    • Promote and connect Hispanic adults and families to parish faith formation programs.
  • Manage publicity, promotion, and communication of parish Hispanic ministry programs.

Bachelor’s Degree in Theology preferred.
Present at weekend Spanish Masses and for evening parish programs as scheduled.

Candidates must be fully bilingual Spanish – English.
Fluency in English and Spanish conversation, reading and writing is required.
Competency with social media and computer skills required.
Public speaking, presentation skills preferred.

The Blessed Saints Pastoral Region is hiring a Director/Coordinator of Religious Education for St. Bartholomew Parish and a Youth Minister for St. Bartholomew and St. Vivian Parishes.  The candidate should have good communication skills with both adults and youth.

Status:  Full-time salaried position, with regular evening and weekend hours.

CRE/DRE

The candidate would be responsible to manage the religious education/catechetical programs for children through the parish.  This includes Sacrament preparation for all parishioners for 1st Reconciliation, 1st Communion, and Confirmation.  In addition, the candidate would be responsible for the religious education program for those students who do not attend Catholic School (PSR/RE). Additional seasonal duties include Vacation Bible School and overseeing and managing the Children’s Liturgy of the Word ministry.

Youth Ministry

The candidate would be responsible for managing a Jr. High and High school youth ministry program.  The program has a history of regular meetings for both high school and jr. high students as well as several yearly events including mission trip, jr. high camp, quarterly fun outings, and other retreats and faith building events.
