Mount Notre Dame High School is seeking an Alumnae Engagement Officer with a deep passion for Mount Notre Dame. This role involves developing and implementing mission aligned programs and communications aimed at promoting and enhancing meaningful engagement to foster lifelong commitment and support for MND. With a community of over 8,492 active alumnae, MND is dedicated to fostering a philanthropic culture, and the Alumnae Engagement Officer plays a crucial role in achieving alumnae engagement objectives and overseeing associated events.

This full-time, 12-month position reports directly to the Director of Development and works closely with Development team in supporting school-wide development initiatives and special events while collaborating closely with the Admissions and Marketing & Communications departments. The position does require frequent flexibility for evening and weekend events, as well as potential out-of-state travel for MND ‘Alumnae On-The-Move’ events.

Responsibilities include:
• Develop, execute, and maintain fundraising initiatives to increase alumnae philanthropic support and participation, and for monthly alumnae engagement programming.
• Manage a portfolio to engage with alumnae during in-person visits each year to assess capacity and affinity, solicit gifts and deepen relationships. Meet annual fundraising goals for alumnae and reunion giving developed each year in partnership with the Director of Development.
• Partner with the Director of Development and Annual Giving MGO to create and implement strategies to encourage donor acquisition retention and increased giving.
• Work with the Development and Marketing team to articulate a compelling vision for alumnae engagement.
• Work with other department staff to ensure that alumnae demographic and contact information is continually improved and maintained to support departmental goals.
• In consultation with the Director of Development and Director of Marketing & Communications, maintain and support a communications plan for alumnae-related content for print and electronic publications (alumnae class notes for the Developments Magazine), monthly e-newsletters, the school website, and social media (with a focus on leveraging the school’s LinkedIn platform to keep alumnae engaged).
• Remain up to date on current methods and innovations to effectively communicate with alumnae.
• In coordination with the Director of Development, work directly with, provide support and direction to the Alumnae Association Board.
• Support the overall development efforts of Mount Notre Dame through building relationships and sharing the various opportunities for members in the community to invest their time, talent, and treasure.
• Research, implement, manage, and evaluate engagement opportunities that serve to strengthen and deepen connections with the school and that support the school’s strategic vision and mission.
• Develop opportunities to connect with current students and their families in meaningful ways to build a culture of philanthropy. • Assist with several weekend and evening development events throughout the year and attend schoolwide functions as needed to connect with constituents.
• Ability to frequently travel locally.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree • Minimum of 2-3 years of successful experience fundraising. (Experience fundraising in a school or educational setting is preferred.)
• Ability to develop and implement programs consistent with department and school strategic plans, and to ensure that programs effectively address agreed-upon objectives and priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required, both written and oral, and a high level of professionalism in social and professional settings is expected.
• Commitment to confidentiality, discretion and customer service mindset.
• Ability to effectively establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within a diverse multicultural environment and contribute to an office environment that is collegial, dynamic and fun.
• Ability to manage multiple projects; flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with excellent follow through and accountability.
• Capacity to both work independently and thrive in a team environment.
• Strong technology skills in Windows and Microsoft products: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with Raiser’s Edge, Canva, Facebook and LinkedIn a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel and work outside normal business hours as needed.
