Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Catholic High School Religion Teacher. Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that effectively convey Catholic teachings and principles in alignment with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.

· Lead prayer and reflection activities to help students cultivate a personal relationship with God and deepen their understanding of Catholic spirituality.

· Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to Catholic education.

· Provide guidance and support to students as they navigate questions of faith, morality, and social justice, fostering critical thinking and ethical discernment.

· Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your own knowledge and skills as a Catholic educator.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in theology, religious studies, education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

· Valid teaching certification/license

· Strong commitment to the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church, with a personal faith life that serves as a model for students

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles

· Passion for teaching and a genuine desire to inspire and mentor young people in their faith journey

· Experience in Catholic high school education or ministry

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Science Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Current license to teach 7-12 Physics and Chemistry in the state of Ohio
  • Experience teaching Chemistry and/or Physics at the high school level, including the confidence and willingness to teach high level sciences such as AP Chemistry
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the spiritual development of students
  • Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Willingness to participate in extracurricular and co-curricular activities
  • Experience teaching in an all-girls or faith-based school environment
  • Familiarity with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards)
  • Background in inquiry-based and project-based learning approaches
