Essential Responsibilities
– Program Leadership & Culture
o Build a cohesive girls soccer program rooted in skill development, sportsmanship, discipline, and respect.
o Establish and maintain a culture aligned with Bishop Fenwick’s mission, emphasizing integrity, faith formation, responsibility, and teamwork.
o Serve as a visible, positive role model for student athletes on and off the field.
o Ability to help build youth pipeline connections with local clubs, CYO, and middle school programs.
o Experience running or organizing youth clinics, camps, or offseason development opportunities.
– Coaching & Player Development
o Plan and implement structured training, practices, and off-season development sessions that prioritize safety and skill progression.
o Teach the fundamentals, strategies, and nuances of the game while promoting creativity, competitiveness, and confidence.
o Provide clear, ongoing feedback to student-athletes: during tryouts, throughout the season, and in end-of-season evaluations.
o Ability to utilize film analysis tools (Hudl, Veo, etc.) to support player development.
o Desire to collaborate with Strength & Conditioning staff to create year-round development plans.
– Communication & Relationships
o Communicate regularly and professionally with players, families, assistant coaches, and school administration.
o Lead preseason parent meetings outlining expectations, team values, communication channels, and season goals.
o Maintain consistent discipline and accountability aligned with school and athletic department policies.
o Commitment to building leadership opportunities for student-athletes within the program.
– Program Operations & Administration
o Recruit, mentor, and oversee assistant coaches and lower-level coaches to ensure program alignment.
o Demonstrated ability to promote the program through communication, social media, or community engagement.
o Coordinate scheduling, transportation, facilities, equipment, and program needs with the Athletic Director.
o Ensure all OHSAA rules, regulations, and eligibility standards are followed.
o Manage program branding, uniforms, equipment inventory, and budget with responsibility and integrity.
o Support the academic success and spiritual development of every student-athlete.
Qualifications
– Prior high school or collegiate coaching experience (Head Coach experience strongly preferred).
– Commitment to Catholic education and understanding of the values of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
– Strong technical and tactical knowledge of soccer and player development.
– Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to mentor student-athletes spiritually, academically, and personally.
– Must pass all background checks and complete all Safe Parish & Archdiocese training.
– Required OHSAA Coaching Certifications (or willingness to obtain before the season).
