Job Title: Service Coordinator (Part-Time)

Location: Roger Bacon High School
Schedule: 20+ hours per week, including after-school hours and occasional weekend activities

Position Summary:
Roger Bacon High School is seeking a motivated and organized Service Coordinator to oversee and support the school’s student service initiatives. This position is responsible for coordinating service opportunities, tracking student service hours, and helping students connect with meaningful community service experiences that align with the school’s Franciscan mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and promote service opportunities for students throughout the school year.
  • Track and maintain accurate records of student service hours.
  • Work with faculty, staff, and community organizations to develop service partnerships.
  • Support and supervise after-school service projects and activities.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating occasional weekend service events.
  • Communicate service opportunities and expectations to students and families.
  • Encourage student participation in community service and leadership through service.
  • Assist with service-related events, recognition programs, and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with high school students and foster a positive environment.
  • Experience coordinating programs, volunteer activities, or youth programs preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including after-school and occasional weekends.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic high school education.

Compensation:

Roger Bacon High School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered College & Career Advisor to lead and expand our college and career readiness efforts. This position will play an important role in helping students identify their strengths, explore opportunities, develop meaningful post-secondary plans, and successfully transition from high school to college, career, or other post-secondary pathways.

Key Responsibilities

College & Career Readiness Program Development

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for college and career readiness, including goals, programming, assessment, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with school leadership, faculty, and counselors to integrate college and career readiness opportunities throughout the student experience.
  • Develop and expand opportunities for students to participate in internships, job shadowing, career exploration, and other real-world learning experiences.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with colleges, universities, businesses, community organizations, and other post-secondary partners.

Student & Family Support

  • Help students explore college, career, and post-secondary opportunities aligned with their interests, strengths, and goals.
  • Provide students and families with resources and information related to college admissions, career pathways, standardized testing, financial considerations, and post-secondary planning.
  • Organize college and career workshops, information sessions, and outreach opportunities for students, parents, and guardians.
  • Serve as a resource to students as they navigate the transition from high school to their chosen post-secondary pathway.

Professional Development & School Collaboration

  • Provide professional development and resources to faculty and staff regarding college admissions, career exploration, post-secondary planning, and emerging opportunities.
  • Stay current on changes in college admissions requirements, standardized testing policies, career and industry trends, and post-secondary opportunities.
  • Collaborate with administrators, teachers, counselors, and other members of the school community to support the college and career readiness mission of Roger Bacon.

Data, Assessment & Reporting

  • Collect and analyze data related to college enrollment, career pathways, internships, post-secondary plans, and post-graduation outcomes.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of college and career readiness programs and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for school administrators and other stakeholders regarding program outcomes, trends, and recommendations.
  • Use student and post-graduation data to inform future programming and strategic planning.

Community & Postsecondary Partnerships

  • Develop strong relationships with colleges, universities, businesses, community organizations, and other partners.
  • Identify and expand opportunities that provide students with meaningful exposure to careers, higher education, and the workforce.
  • Represent Roger Bacon High School at appropriate college, career, community, and professional events.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for external partners involved in Roger Bacon’s college and career readiness initiatives.
