Mount Saint Mary’s Seminary and School of Theology seeks a full-time, experienced bookkeeper. This person works in collaboration with the CFO and President of the institution in facilitating the day-to-day operations of the seminary and school of theology programs and the departments in support of the overall mission of the institution. The person filling this position must have minimum of 2 years practical experience with keeping accounts and ledger entries in fulfillment of the following areas of responsibility:

Areas of Responsibility

  • Accounts payable: invoicing, check preparation and mailing
  • Accounts receivable: billing, collection, recording and reconciliation
  • Deposits
  • Journal entries, monthly closing entries, and reconciliation
  • Assist with Payroll
  • Monthly Bank reconciliations
  • Maintain files of the above.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Familiarity with accounting software (Passport, Quickbooks,….)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Ability to effectively manage work flow and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written

St. Philip the Apostle in Morrow is seeking a part-time Music Minister to serve as organist/pianist for weekend Masses, Holy Days of Obligation and other special liturgies, such as funerals, weddings and reconciliation services.

This individual will collaborate with the Pastor, Pastoral Council and Pastoral Staff to implement plans associated with Beacons of Light. There may also be occasions where the music minister will meet with the Music Director at St. Francis de Sales in Lebanon (our sister parish in the family) to plan special liturgies and/or liturgical seasons. Understanding of the liturgy of the Mass and working with the liturgical calendar and scriptural themes is strongly preferred.

Candidates should be comfortable with playing music for the liturgy and working with a cantor and choir, and will likely involve choir practice one evening a week.

The position would entail approximately 10 – 15 hours per week. Weekend Mass times are Saturday at 4:00 p.m. and Sunday at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. The occasional funeral is generally scheduled at 11 a.m. during the week.

The Director of the Office for Divine Worship & Sacraments (ODWS) assists the Archbishop in his role as “high priest of the flock”, providing liturgical formation, assisting the Archbishop in making liturgical and sacramental policies, and by supporting the Church of Cincinnati in celebrating the sacraments and other celebrations of divine worship. Within the Center for Parish Vitality, the ODWS supports pastors and parish leaders in ensuring vibrant liturgical and sacramental life.

The Director of the Office for Divine Worship & Sacraments should possess the following qualifications: a minimum of an STL in Sacramental Theology/Liturgy, or a Master’s degree in Liturgy or Liturgical Studies with at least 10 years pastoral experience at the diocesan or parish level; working knowledge of the Church’s liturgical documents; excellent communication skills, written and verbal; the ability to work with clergy, pastoral ministers and the lay faithful; proficient in software such as Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with web platforms such as WordPress is desirable.

Our Lady of the Visitation in Cincinnati seeks qualified applicants for the position of Director of Religious Education (DRE) for a vibrant parish of 2300 families.  The ideal candidate is a faith-filled, enthusiastic individual who has the ability to share their love of Christ and His Church with children and families in a way that will challenge them to reflect more deeply on their faith while fostering an environment of spiritual growth.  Primary responsibilities include: professional communication and interaction with parishioners and staff; implementing a comprehensive faith formation program for children from preschool through 8th grade including Theology of the Body; coordinating and facilitating sacramental preparation for the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation; coordinating Parish School of Religion; and recruiting and training catechists.  This individual oversees and works with an assistant.
