The Mother of God Family of Parishes is seeking qualified candidates for the Director of Communication position.  The Director of Communication is a member of the Pastor’s Leadership Team within the Mother of God Family of Parishes, leading all efforts in communicating the evangelizing vision, ministries, resources, and community-building outreach of the Family of Parishes. The Director manages communications projects across multiple forms of media and works closely with staff to ensure a unified, consistent, on-brand message. The Director also plays an oversight role regarding activation of the vision including event hospitality, event promotion, and supports parish fundraising efforts. In any crisis communications situation, the Director acts as liaison with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Communication Office.

The Mother of God Family of Parishes is comprised of 3 large parishes in Kettering, Ohio, each with an elementary school. The 3 parishes are Church of the Ascension, St. Albert the Great, and St. Charles Borromeo.

St. Mary Church Dayton, part of the Bread of Life Family, is seeking a part-time Business Manager. Flexible in-office work schedule of 15-19 hours/week. Duties include processing bi-weekly payroll, preparing monthly financial statements, review/approve accounts payable checks, monitor bank accounts, oversee maintenance, manage three-person regular staff, and work with parish committees including Parish Council, Fundraising, Finance, Building & Grounds.

St. Luke the Evangelist Parish in Beavercreek, OH, part of the St. Michael the Archangel Family of Parishes, is seeking a full-time Parish Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the parish’s physical assets, personnel resources, and operational support. A college degree is desired, and/or five to ten (5-10) years of business experience is required.

Catholic Religious Education Coordinator: 20 hours/week

Qualifications:

  • Shall possess current certification as a Catechist from a Roman Catholic diocese and have at least two years of classroom experience as a catechist in a Parish School of Religion (PSR).
  • Shall have a Master’s degree in Education, teaching, or similar.
  • Shall be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Shall submit at least two letters of professional references.
  • Must be able to receive clearance from a background investigation.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Catholic Pastor (GS Priest) and Catholic Director of Faith Formation by assuming responsibility for all aspects of the operation of the Parish School of Religion (PSR).
  • Recruit, train, nurture, and lead volunteer staff.
  • Prepare Parish School of Religion (PSR) Funds and Facility Requests.
  • Schedule and facilitate PSR Staff Meetings, attend all meetings as required.
  • Order and distribute all curriculum, equipment, and supplies.
  • Plan and execute annual registration of PSR students.
  • Prepare and submit proposed annual budget for the PSR to the Director of Faith Formation.
  • Ensure volunteers working with youth below 18 years of age receive a background check.
