The Regional Director for Young Adult Evangelization must be a missionary disciple passionate about introducing young adults to Jesus Christ and His Church. This individual must have a regular prayer life centered on intimacy with Christ and be able to pray easily with others. He or she must be a strong conceptual and strategic thinker who is able to lead by influence and creatively overcome barriers. The Regional Director will develop his or her own team of volunteer missionary disciples who will work to establish the ministries and means for young adults to discover and live their vocation in vibrant community and through the Catholic Church.

The Northeast 3 Family of Parishes is seeking candidates for Associate Director of Youth, Adult, and Family Evangelization and Christian Formation to serve Sacred Heart (New Carlisle) and Mary Help of Christians (Fairborn) parishes. This position is full-time with a regular but flexible schedule, working 40+ hours per week. The Associate Director of Youth, Adult, and Family Evangelization and Christian Formation will serve as a member of the evangelization team for the Northeast 3 Family of Parishes. Ministry responsibilities include the following: evangelization and Christian formation with children, youth, adults and family, religious education and formation classes, Catechist recruitment and formation, family faith formation, weekly gatherings, coordination of first Eucharist, first Reconciliation, and Confirmation formation, and other faith formation efforts at Mary Help of Christians and Sacred Heart. The Associate Director is a person who is a fully initiated and practicing member of the Catholic Church. A degree in Theology or Catholic Studies is preferred along with experience in leading and implementing religious education programs.

The Sisters of the Precious Blood are a Roman Catholic congregation of women religious who profess vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, live a common life and engage in lifelong service to others. Since 1834 the Sisters of the Precious Blood have met the needs of the time. Salem Heights is a primary residence for retired Sisters as well as a place of hospitality for members of the Sisters of the Precious Blood in northwest Dayton, Ohio.  Even though the Sisters are retired from their ministry, they still fullfil their daily ministry through prayer. The Music and Liturgy Coordinator will foster a worshipping community at Salem Heights so that Sisters may enjoy a rich prayer life through liturgical celebrations that take place in the Salem Heights chapel.  Worship includes daily Eucharistic Liturgies and devotional prayer services in accordance with the mission and values of the Sisters of the Precious Blood.

Candidates will need to be a practicing Catholic and have some form of training in liturgy. The candidate will possess a minimum of two years’ experience in planning and implementing liturgies in a variety of settings through the liturgical year; a bachelor degree is preferred. Along with liturgy training, the candidate will need to have appropriate training in musical fields that include: organ, electronic keyboard, and/or piano. Candidates will need to have experience directing a choir. St. Charles Parish in Kettering, Ohio is seeking an energetic candidate with a fire for faith to envision and execute engaging ministries for youth and young adults that will encourage a deeper relationship with Christ and the community that is His Church.

POSITION PURPOSE: Develop and implement Christ centered youth and young adult ministries including community building, catechesis, evangelization, social action and spirituality.  This position is flexible for part-time or full-time hours dependent upon the needs of the right candidate and may increase to include our two sister parishes as we move through the Beacons of Light process (for more information about Beacons of Light go to www.catholicaoc.org/beacons-of-light).

MAJOR DUTIES INCLUDE:
1. Participates in comprehensive planning, implementation, and evaluation of parish’s programs, goals, and objectives, with specific focus on evangelization of youth and young adults.
2. Serves as a professional resource to parish staff regarding Youth and Young Adult ministry.
3. Participates in all Staff meetings and activities.
4. Assures development of programs and activities for both middle and high school youth that foster spiritual formation and on-going faith opportunities including but not be limited to: retreats, religious education, socials, recreation, youth-oriented liturgies, outreach programs, and community service.
5. Assures development of programs and activities for young adults that foster spiritual growth, development and a place to build community.
6. Recruits, enables, trains and oversees, volunteers involved with youth programs and activities.
7. Administers Youth and Young Adult Ministry budget.
8. Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required for ministry.
9. Performs other duties as appropriately assigned by Pastor.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
1. Active member of a Catholic Parish Community.
2. Bachelors degree (Theology or Education preferred)
3. Previous experience in Youth Ministry, teaching, or working with youth preferred.
