The Sisters of the Precious Blood are a Roman Catholic congregation of women religious who profess vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, live a common life and engage in lifelong service to others. Since 1834 the Sisters of the Precious Blood have met the needs of the time. Inspired by Maria Anna Brunner, foundress, and her desire “that not one drop of Jesus’ Precious Blood be shed in vain,” we try to see where the need is great and to respond. As a community of women religious dedicated to the Blood of Christ we recognize the preciousness of life, the need for reconciliation in our world, and the needs of the poor and those on the margins. We respond to these needs and strive to be a life-giving reconciling presence. The Vocation Ministry Coordinator presents the Sisters of the Precious Blood to age-appropriate groups, to women ages 18-45, and extends an invitation to some of these women to discern their vocation to consecrated religious life, in particular as a Sister of the Precious Blood.
