The Northeast 3 Family of Parishes seeks to hire a faithful and dynamic Catholic as a Director of Evangelization. This position is full-time with some evenings and weekends, working 40+ hours per week. The role of this position is to serve as a member of and oversee a pastoral team responsible for catechetical programs and evangelization ministries proportionally at six parishes. This leadership and catechesis are important parts of making disciples of Jesus Christ, for which the parishes exist. The Director is a person who is a fully initiated and practicing member of the Catholic Church. A degree in Theology or Catholic Studies is preferred along with experience in leading and implementing religious education programs.

Administrative Associate for Parish Services (Secretary)/Full-Time: St Luke Parish seeks a full-time Non-Exempt, secretary.  This position reports to the business manager.  Welcomes visitors, answers, screens and refers telephone and electronic communications, and provides clerical support and other administrative duties for the parish office operations.  Offers a Christian witness, confidentiality, and professional manner in supporting the parish mission.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintains filing system, office records, sacramental records, facility schedules, parish calendar, key issuance, parish data bases, including data entry, and reports.
  • Edits, proofreads and prints the weekly bulletin.
  • Operates a variety of standard office equipment (copiers, computers, etc.) and arranges maintenance.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED Required.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications which include Word, Publisher, and Excel.
  • Possess excellent phone etiquette and communicates clearly and effectively.
  • Previous training and/or experience in a general clerical duties, business procedures and computers.

The primary function of this position will be to provide overall leadership and direction for total parish faith formation.  The holder of this position will also manage several functions and tasks including delegation and supervision of coordinators and support personnel who assist with these duties.  The Coordinator will also execute all parish programs and activities associated with catechetical programs and formational activities along with sacramental preparation (Baptism, Reconciliation, Communion, and Confirmation).

In addition, this position will be responsible for executing leadership in the areas of Family Evangelization.  The candidate will also lead and have administrative responsibility for the religious education budget and be the main point of contact for communication.

Faith Studies (Scripture study groups, women’s enrichment and a men’s group) are also included in the candidate’s area of responsibility.  Marriage Ministry involving enrichment will also be an area of focus for the candidate.

The candidate should be a practicing Catholic certification as a catechetical leader in the CRE mode is strongly encouraged.  Qualified candidates would also have skills, knowledge and abilities in theology, organizational leadership, catechetics/education/evangelization, and program development.

Fulltime music director position, starting in October, at St. Christopher Parish in Vandalia, part of the Northeast 10 Family of Parishes.  The position includes the following: playing at all 5:00 Saturday evening Masses, 11:00 Sunday Masses and regularly scheduled school Masses. It also would include playing at some of the 9:00 Sunday morning Masses. Along with musical and keyboard skills, the director should have knowledge of the role music has in the liturgy and plan accordingly. The director will lead Adult Choir, Youth Choir, Funeral Choir, and cantors. The director will also play for special liturgies, including Christmas, Easter, First Communion, Confirmation, etc., as well as funerals and weddings in the parish and be an integral part of the music program for the Family of Parishes.

We are seeking an Associate Director of Family and Youth Evangelization (pre-k-5th Grades). This position is full-time with a regular but flexible schedule, working 40+ hours per week. The Associate Director of Family and Youth Evangelization will serve as a member of pastoral staff and is responsible for Family and Youth Evangelization with pre-k through 5th grade youth, including Vacation Bible Camp, Religious Education and Formation classes, Catechist recruitment and formation, family faith formation, weekly gatherings, coordination of first Eucharist and first Reconciliation, and collaboration with Confirmation preparation and formation, and other faith formation efforts at Saint Francis of Assisi and Incarnation Parishes.
