The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is accepting applications for the full-time position of Director of Communications for Campus Ministry at Wright State University.

Catholic Campus Ministry at Wright State University is committed to inviting every member of the Wright State Community to encounter, follow, and share Jesus Christ and His Church.  The Director of Communications will be responsible for pursuing this mission using video and print media, within the vision of the Director of Campus Ministry at Wright State University.

The Director of Communications will be responsible for building and maintaining an attractive and inviting outreach to students on campus, using livestreaming, promotional videos and trailers, catechetical videos, newsletters for the chapel community, social media, and the ministry’s website.  The Director of Communications will work to promote the various series, events, and programs of the chapel, and will work alongside FOCUS missionaries, other chapel staff, and students in augmenting the ministry of the chapel.  Applicants should be able to work within a vision set by the Director of Campus Ministry, but also to operate with great initiative and innovation, imitating other successful programs and developing new strategies to best accomplish the Gospel mandate to make disciples within this vineyard of Wright State University.

The Director of Communications will be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.  Applicants are expected to have basic equipment for the position, and to be able to guide the Director of Campus Ministry to purchase additional equipment on a limited budget.

Applicants are requested to submit a cover letter, resume, application, and a portfolio (ideally via link) of any print, video or digital creative the applicant has produced, including a video demo reel.  Particular attention will be paid to video production ability: lighting, editing, shot composition, audio capture, technical knowledge of cameras and lenses, etc. At a later point in the application process, applicants will be requested to design a weekly newsletter to exhibit their graphic design skills on a deadline.

A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Theology, Religious Education, Youth Ministry or related field is a definite plus for consideration. We will also place a high priority on the length and caliber of previous experience in parish youth/young adult ministry in our hiring process deliberations.

Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church has an opening for a full time Coordinator of Music Ministry to lead the music program for the parish helping the worshipping community to pray by supporting liturgies with vibrant and inspirational music.

Candidate for this position should be proficient in organ and piano, be able to sight read music and have suitable vocal skills. Candidate should be passionate about the church’s liturgical tradition as well as today’s current practice. This candidate will be a staff member, attend staff meetings and work collaboratively with pastoral staff.

The Coordinator of Music Ministry plans and leads music at two weekend Masses, Saturday 4:30pm and Sunday 11:00am with choirs, Thursday morning school Mass, funeral Masses, all Holy Day Masses and special liturgies and events as needed. Providing music at weddings is additional compensation.

Responsibilities include directing and rehearsing choirs and volunteer musicians, creating power point presentations for Masses, file and maintain music records, coordinate music ministry bulletin communications, care for musical equipment and the operation of sound equipment.

This candidate should have the ability to cultivate and recruit volunteers for participation in the Music Ministry program both choir and musicians.

This newly created regional position will serve the up-and-coming Uptown Catholic Region in Clifton (St. Monica – St. George Parish, Annunciation Parish & School, Holy Name Parish, Corryville Catholic Grade School, and the University of Cincinnati Newman Center).  This individual will be responsible for overseeing a unified religious education program at all the parishes and coordinating with the parish schools concerning Catholic education.  The responsibilities would include crafting an overall strategy for adult formation, which would include family formation for children, managing catechists, sharing responsibility for RCIA, overseeing sacramental preparation for the unified program, and collaborating with the college campus ministry and grade schools (as needed).

The requirements are a theology degree from a Catholic University, 5+ years of experience as a Director of Religious Education, and experience in the evangelization of young adults.

 

The Glenmary Home Missioners are looking for an enthusiastic fundraising professional to join our development team. The successful candidate will secure and raise funds through major gifts and planned gift programs.

College degree preferred. Five years of practical experience in development with familiarity of planned giving instruments. Familiarity with fundraising software and windows applications.

The successful candidate must be able to develop an annual plan for identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major gifts and/or planned gifts. Must be able to maintain and foster relationships with donors to successfully communicate the Glenmary mission and secure major gifts or planned gifts.

Position will be based in Glenmary’s Headquarters with regular frequent travel required outside of normal work location to meet with Glenmary supporters throughout the country.
