St. Vincent de Paul Dayton District Council is seeking a full-time Relationship Manager.

Role: 

Reporting to the Director of Mission Advancement, the Relationship Manager establishes relationships with financial donors and prospective financial donors to financially sustain the organization. S/he expands and diversifies the organization’s donor base and will work closely with staff and volunteers. This is a full-time position with demanding goals, requiring flexible scheduling. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and executing a strategy of donor prospect cultivation for securing current and deferred financial gifts.
  • Regularly conduct donor visits and solicitations.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors and major donor prospects.
  • Develop donors from identification and cultivation, to solicitation and donation, with an emphasis on establishing annual giving, securing five- and six-figure gifts.
  • Increase membership of, and amount contributed by St. Vincent Partners, Senior Partners and Legacy giving societies.
  • Prepare quarterly dashboard reports offering documentation on the active engagement and solicitation of major gifts.
  • Convey sensitivity and communication skills necessary to tailor messages to various audiences and, in turn, be an effective representative of St. Vincent de Paul and its diverse constituencies.
  • Establish, cultivate, and nurture relationships with individual donors.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in individual charitable estate planning.
  • Secure private foundation funding through maintenance of an assigned grant portfolio.

 

Education:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts or Science

Compensation:

  • Commensurate with experience, ranging from $55,000 to $75,000, with a full range of benefits

St. Albert the Great Parish in Kettering, OH is seeking a full time bookkeeper.  The bookkeeper will oversee the parish and school’s financial data by maintaining accounts payable and receivables, prepare month ending reports and bank reconciliations.  Additional duties as needed.  The position includes full benefits. As part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks qualified candidates for our University Minister for Discipleship to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by leading dynamic programs which engage students in a life of discipleship in light of the Catholic faith.   This includes growing participation in faith formation opportunities and forming faith filled student leadership, planning retreats and faith activites which lead students into a life of discipleship that reveals the love of God, creates awareness of self and others.

The minister will be deeply rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition, and, from that tradition, engage Marian University community, in meaningful moments of service and reflection with a particular attention to intercultural forms of ministry.  The ideal candidate will be joy-filled, creative, highly organized, and seek out new opportunities and collaboration.  Students should see the University Minister as a Christian witness, leader, and mentor. The option for a ten-month contract is available.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leading through service, integrating faith and life and institutional policies.

 

  • Retreats: Coordinate and expand retreats to include opportunities during the Fall and Spring Semesters through student leadership formation, sound fiscal stewardship, and innovation.  (30% of responsibilities)

 

  • Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Coordinate a Christian Initiation process and discernment that leads participants into a deep relationship with Jesus Christ through the Sacraments of Initiation. (20%)
      1. Coordinate intentional inquiry opportunities for students seeking faith, including those from no or other faith backgrounds who want to know about the Catholic Church, and those who are Catholic but are seeking a better understanding of the Catholic faith.
      2. Coordinate and train students who serve on the team.

 

  • Spiritual Mentoring and Direction: Coordinate and expand the Spiritual Direction program and mentoring program to serve students (20%)
      1. Coordinate Certified Spiritual Directors, including recruiting, application process, assigning directees and submitting paperwork for payment of services.
      2. Identify and Coordinate Marian University staff, faculty, and Covenant Ministers to serve as spiritual mentors for students.

 

  • Days of Reflection or Pilgrimages:  Coordinate a student led day or evening of reflection during each of the fall and Spring Semester by engaging student leaders in creative planning and implementation of opportunities that invite other to reflect on and encounter God in the ordinary and extraordinary of life. Coordinate periodic Pilgrimages when relevant opportunities for students  are identified. (15%)

 

  • Other Responsibilities and Various Leadership (15%)
      1. Manages budget for above programs and responsibilities
      2. Actively participates in Mission and Ministry and Campus Ministry teams
      3. Participate in, at least, yearly professional development and/or formation experiences
      4. S/he participates in the liturgical and prayer life of the university community, in particular Sunday and All Campus Masses.
      5. Support students, faculty and staff in finding and using resources for faith formation.
      6. Collaborate with Students Success and Engagement team, representing Campus Ministry on various committees to include Community Engaged Learning, Serving SJI, Programming Leaders, Welcome Week team.
      7. Availability to students of all faiths to offer support, encouragement and listening.

 

 Required Qualifications:

  • Baptized, practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, or related field
  • Willingness to attain a Master’s degree in theology or ministry (if not already possessed)
  • 3-5 years experience in campus ministry, specifically in directing faith formation and retreat programs
  • Knowledgeable of and an excellent communicator of the Rites of Christian Initiation
  • Regular/frequent work during evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to travel locally and participate in overnight retreats
  • Possesses (or has the ability to obtain) a passport
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

  • Administration and Recruitment: Design, develop, and implement the Missionary Disciples Institute (60%) including:
      1. Develop and implement a recruitment strategy to attain 75 High School students to participate in MDI for SU2022.
      2. Communicate and collaborate with Marian University faculty, staff, administration, students, and Lilly Endowment, Inc. representatives (as needed)
      3. Identify and hire dynamic keynotes, faculty, young professionals, college mentors, and house band.
      4. Evaluate the Institute yearly through surveys and reports to be shared with stakeholders.
      5. Create post-Institute opportunities for student engagement including assisting in SDS recruitment and the transition of MDI participants to SDS.
  • Formation: Design and implement the formation and training program for the MDI MU Mentors and assist in the formation of the San Damiano Scholars including (30% of responsibilities):
      1. Pre-institute gatherings during spring semester for the college mentors
      2. Pre-institute week-long retreat and training with the college mentors
      3. Contribute to the monthly formation meetings
      4. Participate in the bi-annual retreats
      5. Engage in the formation of house leaders
      6. Oversee a class of scholars including one-on-one mentoring

St. James the Greater (White Oak-Cincinnati) is seeking candidates for the position of Coordinator of Religious Education.

The CRE will be responsible for guiding the religious education for our pre-school and elementary level children.  This includes working with the administrators and staff in our grade school (570 students), developing and administering the PSR program (Parish School of Religion for students in public schools), and Sunday pre-school program.  This individual will also share in the catechesis of youth in OCIA and development of summer Bible camp.

Recommended qualifications: a degree in theology or related field (Master preferred); a minimum of three (3) years teaching experience in a Catholic school; certification by the archdiocese as a Catechetical Leader.
