Salem Heights is a primary residence for retired Sisters as well as a place of hospitality for members of the Sisters of the Precious Blood in northwest Dayton, Ohio.  Even though the Sisters are retired from their ministry, they still fullfil their daily ministry through prayer. The Music and Liturgy Coordinator will foster a worshipping community at Salem Heights so that Sisters may enjoy a rich prayer life through liturgical celebrations that take place in the Salem Heights chapel.  Worship includes daily Eucharistic Liturgies and devotional prayer services in accordance with the mission and values of the Sisters of the Precious Blood.

Candidates will need to be a practicing Catholic and have some form of training in liturgy. The candidate will possess a minimum of two years’ experience in planning and implementing liturgies in a variety of settings through the liturgical year; a bachelor degree is preferred. Along with liturgy training, the candidate will need to have appropriate training in musical fields that include: organ, electronic keyboard, and/or piano. Candidates will need to have experience directing a choir. Position is 40 hours per week, which includes Sunday Masses and 4 weekday Masses.

St. Susanna is seeking a Full Time Parish Office Receptionist. The office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include greeting parishioners and visitors to the parish office, receiving and forwarding incoming calls to the appropriate staff member, providing clerical support for the pastor and staff, and other general office duties. The successful candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, a pleasant and friendly demeanor, the ability to multi task, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office, have strong computer skills, and able to operate standard office equipment. The Comboni Missionaries is an international Catholic organization dedicated to ministering to the world’s poorest and most abandoned people, often working in unstable political climates, in the midst of extreme poverty.  In the North American Province (NAP), we minister to minority communities in various dioceses, while also supporting our oversees missions.

Position Summary

The finance director will manage the accounting, budget, operations, and program support for the organization. While they will not have direct reports, they will manage the business affairs for the North American Province of this international faith-based mission. The finance director must understand and respect the tenets of Catholicism and the Comboni Missionaries values of justice and peace.

This full-time (30 hours) position as Administrative Assistant (for Parish Catechetical Program) provides support for children’s, family and adult catechetical ministries. This person will be part of a catechetical team.

Key Responsibilities: Provides clerical support and participation as needed for all catechetical programs.  Sacramental record keeping, scheduling, registrations, communication about and for events. Assistance with sacramental preparation, retreats, and evening catechetical meetings.  You would also assist with other parish office work such as answering phones and assisting parishioners when you are in the office. 

Key Skills and Knowledge: desired candidate will be a practicing Catholic with an interest in Catholic teaching and an active prayer life and love for Christ. Must have strong communication skills, and enjoy working collaboratively. Experience with Word and Publisher is helpful. Working hours include mostly daytime hours 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. During the school year, working hours will flex to include Monday evenings. There are periodically other evening events which will be part of your schedule.  Very occasionally, you would be asked to work for a short time on the weekend. Office experience is necessary, and experience in catechesis or religious education is ideal, but not required.

Saint Luke, Beavercreek, is looking for a full-time coordinator to shepherd both youth and young adult faith formation and to foster its integration into parish life under the direction of the Pastor and Director of Evangelization.  Position responsibilities include administration, leadership and in-house training-support to peer (youth) and adult volunteers in a variety of programming that invites a maturing personal faith in daily life and Church experiences. The position involves team work with three other parish faith coordinators ( early childhood and PSR, adult and the parochial school ) in parish-wide and family-focused formation.   Applicants need a personal faith, commitment to formation and team ministry, an appropriate background (degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies, Theology, Religious Education),  or 5+ years of experience in youth ministry), social media and computer skills and an ability to work with volunteers and staff.
