The Archdiocese of Cincinnati Pastoral Center is seeking to hire a full-time Associate Director for Youth Catechesis.  The Associate Director for Youth Catechesis advances the Archbishop’s teaching ministry by working to integrate youth evangelizing catechesis in the context of the process of evangelization. The Associate Director reports to the Managing Director for Parish Evangelization and is an active member of a dynamic team that seeks to mentor and accompany parish evangelists across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The Associate Director will have a special focus on coordinating youth evangelization efforts in grades K-6 as part of an overall mission to renew youth evangelization in grades K-12. The Associate Director will also coordinate the ongoing implementation and evaluation of Catechist Certification with an emphasis on accompaniment and formation for mission.

The Associate Director collaborates closely and congenially with the entire staff of the Center for the New Evangelization (CNE) and the Department of Communication & Evangelization, as well as other archdiocesan offices. The Archdiocese of Cincinnati Pastoral Center is seeking the qualified candidate for the position of Social Media Coordinator.  The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for reaching and growing defined target audiences with bold, joyful, and beautiful digital content, consistent with the respective online strategies of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, The Catholic Telegraph, and the Center for the New Evangelization. The Social Media Coordinator will be expected to understand and safeguard the brand and graphic standards of the Archdiocese and its various ministries, be an up-to-date leader in the Communication & Evangelization team in the evolving field of social media platforms and best practices, and work reliably and collaboratively with others to deliver output on time and on budget. The Social Media Coordinator will also work with the Director of Media Relations on crisis communications and perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

The Social Media Coordinator reports to the Director of Digital Engagement and collaborates closely and productively with the entire staff of the Department of Communication & Evangelization, as well as colleagues across several Archdiocesan offices. The Parish secretary  performs a variety of secretarial and administrative duties, which support overall parish operations. This includes maintaining the integrity of information and operating the office efficiently. General duties include database maintenance, weekly bulletin, registering new parishioners, maintaining the safe environment database and administrative support of the Pastor and the Parish staff. Candidates need to be proficient in utilizing databases and website applications, Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Microsoft Word, Publisher and Excel. Strong computer, written and oral communications skills are essential. Previous experience is important. Knowledge of the Catholic faith is a must.

Position start date May 3rd. This is a full time non-exempt position.

Serve young adults in ministry and activate your passion for building faith communities in campus ministry at the University of Dayton, a Catholic and Marianist University. This full-time Campus Minister is part of the Residence Life Ministry team and serves a first-year student hall. Initiate opportunities to foster spiritual growth; engage in evangelization and outreach; create opportunities for catechesis, faith formation, and religious literacy; build faith communities; coordinate weekly Catholic Mass and develop student leadership in ministry with undergraduate students. Connects to and supports housing staff and residents, especially through pastoral care and crisis response. Reaches out to a diverse student body with cultural awareness and responsiveness. Supervises a graduate student in ministry.  Embodies a commitment to Catholic and Marianist ideals while cultivating the faith life of the campus community through transformative encounters with God.

This is a 10-month full-time exempt position with full benefits.  August 1, 2021 start date. Salary commensurate with experience.

Primary Function: The Director of Adult Ministry is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation adult retreats included but not limited to men and women conference retreats, Personally Directed Retreats and 30-day retreats.  

Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Develop a yearly comprehensive adult retreat program in collaboration with the Ministry Team
  2. Develop and maintain yearly retreat calendar
  3. Secure retreat masters, spiritual directors, and sacramental ministers for adult retreats
  4. Coordinate set up, breakdown of adult retreats
  5. Serve as liturgist and coordinate musician for adult retreats
  6. Be available for spiritual conversation/direction
  7. Consult, communicate, collaborate, and train retreat captains.
  8. Be present during the adult retreats
  9. Consult, communicate, collaborate, and review marketing materials with Marketing Director
  10. Cultivate relationships with key constituents, e.g., pastors, retreat masters, captains,
    co-captains
  11. Responsible for retreat evaluations and implement appropriate changes
  12. Develop and maintain department budget
  13. Participate in ministry & staff meetings
  14. Develop short-term and long-term goals
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned by Executive Director

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is accepting applications for the full-time position of Director of Communications for Campus Ministry at Wright State University.

Catholic Campus Ministry at Wright State University is committed to inviting every member of the Wright State Community to encounter, follow, and share Jesus Christ and His Church.  The Director of Communications will be responsible for pursuing this mission using video and print media, within the vision of the Director of Campus Ministry at Wright State University.

The Director of Communications will be responsible for building and maintaining an attractive and inviting outreach to students on campus, using livestreaming, promotional videos and trailers, catechetical videos, newsletters for the chapel community, social media, and the ministry’s website.  The Director of Communications will work to promote the various series, events, and programs of the chapel, and will work alongside FOCUS missionaries, other chapel staff, and students in augmenting the ministry of the chapel.  Applicants should be able to work within a vision set by the Director of Campus Ministry, but also to operate with great initiative and innovation, imitating other successful programs and developing new strategies to best accomplish the Gospel mandate to make disciples within this vineyard of Wright State University.

The Director of Communications will be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.  Applicants are expected to have basic equipment for the position, and to be able to guide the Director of Campus Ministry to purchase additional equipment on a limited budget.

Applicants are requested to submit a cover letter, resume, application, and a portfolio (ideally via link) of any print, video or digital creative the applicant has produced, including a video demo reel.  Particular attention will be paid to video production ability: lighting, editing, shot composition, audio capture, technical knowledge of cameras and lenses, etc. At a later point in the application process, applicants will be requested to design a weekly newsletter to exhibit their graphic design skills on a deadline.
