St. Thomas More University Parish is seeking a passionate Catholic with a heart for mission to serve as our full-time Director of Campus Ministry. In this position, you will work to implement our parish’s mission to spread the Gospel on the campus of Bowling Green State University (BGSU) and to lead our students closer to Christ and His Church. You will work closely with the clergy, parish staff, missionaries, and student leaders to plan and execute a vision of evangelization and Christian formation based on the pillars of prayer, intellectual growth, service, and community life in Christ.

Responsibilities include involvement in spiritual retreats, coordinating small group discipleship opportunities in collaboration with our FOCUS missionaries, providing alternative spring break and other service experiences, overseeing and empowering student leaders for outreach and evangelization through our official student organization at BGSU, and the oversight of our Newman Catholic Living Community student residence.

Paid a salary wage commensurate with experience, you will generally work Sunday-Thursday and follow a “college student schedule” involving evenings and/or nights rather than a traditional “office hours” schedule. It is expected that applicants will have earned a bachelor’s degree in any field with preference given to those with studies in theology or other ministry-related fields.

About the Parish
Repeatedly named the #2 Newman Center in the country by Best College Reviews, St. Thomas More University Parish is located directly across the street from the campus of Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Northwest Ohio. With approximately 20,000 students at BGSU and an estimated Catholic student population of 7,000, our campus is modern mission territory! A small community of permanent parishioners means that our students experience authentic parish life with families of all ages worshipping together every Sunday. Highlights of our campus parish include Holy Mass and Confessions every day of the week, an intentional residential community of students who live in 22 apartments on the parish campus, FOCUS led bible studies and discipleship groups, and a fruitful retreat program.
