The Office for Persons with Disabilities is offering two $125 scholarships to attend Damascus Winter Camp January 24-26, 2025. Damascus Ministries has created a culture of Belonging by inviting teens with ALL abilities to attend their camps.
Per the Damascus Ministries policy: Damascus, in alignment with its organizational mission and values, is committed to working to establish a faith-filled experience for all program participants, particularly those with special needs. Special Needs include, but are not limited to,
- Physical Disabilities (hearing impaired, leg brace, wheelchair, blindness, etc.)
- Mental Disabilities (down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, Aspergers, etc.)
- Learning Disabilities (use of an aide at school, attends a special needs school, etc.)
We believe individuals with special needs should, in the words of St. John Paul II, “be welcomed by society, and according to their abilities, integrated into it as full members.”
Please go to Winter Camp (damascus.net) to learn more about Winter Camp and how Damascus offers a culture of Belonging for all.
