Pregnancy Center West seeks a full-time Executive Director. The Executive Director (ED) leads day-to-day activities at Pregnancy Center West (PCW). The ED manages employees and maintains relationships with clients, community members, donors, the PCW board and key stakeholders. General responsibilities include assessing community and client needs and collaborating with staff and board to determine the best path to meet those needs. The ED has overall responsibility for the financial health and stability of PCW, working with staff and board to plan and execute fundraising events and cultivating current and new major donors.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Collaborates with the Board of Directors in overall governance of organization
  • Supports organization’s mission through program/ services development and delivery
  • Fosters growth and stability of the organization, including fundraising, public relations, and marketing
  • Responsible for the administration and management of the organization’s resources
  • Demonstrates strong servant leadership by supporting and promoting harmony and a ministry of restoration/reconciliation modeled after Christ’s example. Also leads by serving clients and volunteers lovingly and effectively, therefore supporting and promoting PCW’s pro-life mission
  • Performs special projects or tasks as assigned by the Board.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

The Executive Director should possess the following key qualifications and skills in the execution of all assigned duties as outlined in the Job Description:

  1. Be ardently pro-life and passionate about the mission and ministry of Pregnancy Center West. Be honest. Operate with integrity.  Maintain confidentiality in the management of donor and client records/data. Be flexible, collaborative and cooperative in working with other staff, volunteers, donors and supporters.
  2. Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in business or nonprofit administration, or related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
  3. Problem solving and program development ability/skills to develop/evaluate programs and administer/manage operations and staff of the organization and resolve problems.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively with multiple audiences/constituencies (Board, staff, volunteers, clients, donors, other organizations, government leaders, media) using a variety of formats.
  5. Self-starter with good judgment, integrity, and excellent administration skills.
  6. Willingness and ability to carry out the mission of Pregnancy Center West and serve clients and other PCW’s constituencies (including other staff, donors, vendors, etc.) in a way that honors Jesus Christ and supports and promotes PCW’s life-affirming ministry.
  7. Willingness and ability to share the gospel of Jesus Christ by word and example, to encourage clients, staff, and other PCW constituencies to contribute to an office environment conducive to supporting a ministry of life.

Job Scope

The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for furthering our mission to provide education on positive alternatives to abortion by performing limited OB ultrasound scans on our abortion-vulnerable, abortion-minded, and abortion-determined clients.

General Duties

  • Performs limited (non-medical grade) ultrasound scans on scheduled or walk-in clients to:
    • Confirm intra-uterine pregnancy
    • Estimate gestational age
    • Confirm fetal cardiac activity
  • Seeks to prepare appropriately for ultrasound appointments by collaborating with client advocates and learning about the clients’ situation
  • Explains the ultrasound procedure in simple terms to clients, and answer any medical questions pertaining to the procedure that they may have
  • Presents images and preliminary findings to clients, as well as to the signing physician via eKYROS (client database)
  • Offers pro-life encouragement when deemed appropriate within the ultrasound room, rooted in medical knowledge and Christian truth
  • Maintains ultrasound equipment and supplies; cleans the ultrasound room and orders supplies as needed
  • Makes appropriate follow-up phone calls to clients related to the ultrasound procedure
  • Maintains client records and medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure in the eKYROS database and clients’ paper file
  • Utilizes basic computer skills with interfacing of Mindray US machine with eKYROS
  • Interact with Client Services Director to facilitate the daily schedule and communicate insights and concerns that impact client counseling
  • Provide feedback to Executive Director and Client Services Director for additional volunteer training opportunities.Works closely with Executive Director to maintain and create best policies and procedures in regards to the ultrasound services
  • Assists other staff members and volunteers as needed

Training specific to the use of PCW’s ultrasound machine will be provided, if needed.

The Cemetery Escort serves as the face of the cemetery for committal services while escorting funeral processions from the Gate of Heaven Cemetery’s front gate to the appropriate location where the committal service is to occur and be available to the families, clergy and funeral directors for questions.

CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE:

The Cemetery Escort is a part-time position that is compensated as a piece rate employee (paid per funeral procession escorted). Most processions occur Monday through Friday between the hours of 10:00am and 2:00pm and Saturday between the hours of 10:00am and 12:30pm. Limited exceptions apply.

Candidate must have a warm personality and physical ability to traverse the cemetery grounds in all types of weather. Candidate must be capable of reading a cemetery map and ability to adapt quickly to changing situations. Candidate will be required to wear business attire, communicate with the office and grounds teams using an ear piece/radio, be willing to use their personal automobile for escorting the funeral processions onsite, possess a valid driver’s license and maintain appropriate coverage on automobile insurance policy. Cemetery Escorts are notified of work assignments at least 24-48 hours in advance.

Employees will have knowledge of the Catholic faith, a willingness to work for a Catholic, faith-based agency and adhere to the policies.   5. Remain at the gravesite/chapel until the completion of the committal service and family has departed.

The Comboni Missionaries – North American Province seek a full-time Finance Director to plan, direct, and manage its financial and business affairs. We are a Catholic Religious Community dedicate to servings God’s poorest and most forgotten people around the world.

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THIS POSITION:

  1. Plan, direct, and manage the financial and business affairs of the Comboni Missionaries North American Province (NAP), in conjunction with the Provincial Treasurer.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plan, direct, and manage the financial and business affairs of the NAP.
  2. Oversee the Communications, Development and Front Office staff.
  3. Collaborate with the Provincial Treasurer to manage the financial assets of the NAP, including but not limited to: the purchase and sale of property and vehicles, maintaining adequate insurance, and managing lease agreements.
  4. Serve as liaison between the NAP and its legal advisors and financial brokers on a variety of matters.
  5. Collaborate with the Mission Office Director to manage the financial assets of the Mission Office.
  6. Provide quarterly financial reports to the Finance Council, the Provincial Council, General Administration, and Members of the Province.
  7. Coordinate and prepare the annual budget for the NAP.
  8. Coordinate annual Audit or Review.
  9. Manage departmental budgets of the provincial offices and NAP communities.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field; or equivalent experience.
  2. Familiarity with general ledger programs, specifically Peachtree.
  3. Effective communicator, both written and oral.
  4. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills and ability to foster teamwork.
  5. Knowledge of the financial workings of a non-profit organization, especially a religious community.
  6. Knowledge of Word-processing, Spreadsheets, and other standard office software.
  7. Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices.
  8. Organized and detail-oriented.
  9. Knowledge of the Catholic faith, commitment to Gospel values, and belief in the mission of the Comboni Missionaries.
  10. Flexible and able to adapt to the present situation.
  11. Ability to travel to NAP communities (5-percent) and some international travel (5-percent).

Gate of Heaven Cemetery is seeking a full-time Cemetery Worker to perform responsible semi-skilled work in the repair, maintenance, and care of its grounds, landscape and related structures. The main goal of this position is to keep the property in top condition, from a landscape and cleanliness point of view.

Employee will:

1. Have a good working knowledge of and be responsible for maintaining turf, trees, and all plant materials on the grounds as well as pest control, etc.
2. Be familiar with proper seeding, plantings, sodding, pruning, watering and fertilizing methods.
3. Be able to oversee and communicate effectively with employees, outside contractors and seasonal workers.
4. Be able to advise on plant materials suitable for the grounds, as well as design plantings and beds.
5. Take the lead on snow removal in the winter.
6. During slow work periods, assist in the day-to-day operation of the cemetery when asked by the Cemetery Services Supervisor/Superintendent.

Other duties may also include:

1. Prepare gravesites for interments and assists in loading/unloading caskets.
2. Repair graves that have settled.
3. Install markers, crypt, and niche plaques.
4. Operate mowing and trimming equipment used in the care and maintenance of the cemetery.
5. Remove flowers and related items from cemetery grounds as directed.
6. Work safely and comply with the Cemetery’s operating procedures, including proper use of protective equipment.
7. Effectively work with others to accomplish tasks.
8. Show respect and sensitivity toward visiting families while working in a physically demanding environment.
9. Additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. A high school diploma or the equivalent is required.
2. Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with an acceptable driving history.
3. Cemetery work experience is a plus.
4. Must be able to operate light duty, motorized equipment.
5. Must be able to perform manual labor for extended periods, often under unfavorable weather conditions.
6. Must be able to work as a team member.
7. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and visiting families.

Additional Requirements:

1. Must be able to pass a background check/drug test.
2. Must be able to stay compliant with the Archdiocesan administered protection policy.
3. Periodic overtime and/or routine weekend work may be required.
4. Must have a valid driver’s license, required insurance coverage, and use of one’s personal automobile for local travel (mileage reimbursed).
