The NW-2 Family of Parishes including St Patrick – Glynwood, St Teresa – Rockford, Our Lady of Guadalupe- Montezuma, Holy Rosary-St Marys, Immaculate Conception-Celina, is seeking a Director of Evangelization. The Director of Evangelization is responsible for supervising and managing the Evangelization and Faith Formation Teams at NW-2 Family of Parishes. The Evangelization and Faith Formation Teams includes Coordinators and Youth Ministers for Youth (K-5), Youth (6-12), Adult Evangelization, and Marriage and Family Evangelization. The Evangelization and Faith Formation Teams are responsible for all efforts of accompanying youth, adults, and families through the Process of Evangelization so that the parish is creating missionary disciples.  The Director of Evangelization must be able to articulate and implement a clear vision/mission for Evangelization to parents, youth, staff, and parishioners.

 

Strongly prefer a Master’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies, Theology, Religious Education, or related field, or commensurate ministry experience. Must have spiritual maturity, defined as a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church who is faithful to the Magisterium, consistent in one’s prayer life, regularly receiving the sacraments, and able to speak of one’s relationship with Jesus. Must have a broad understanding of and ability to articulate Church teaching regarding evangelization, catechesis, prayer, sacraments, and ecclesiology. Must have experience mentoring and accompanying adults at different stages of the discipleship path. Must be able to pray in front of and with others, to lead and participate in spontaneous prayer. Must be able to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people using the spoken word, both within one-on-one coaching/mentoring situations and in large group settings. Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church (Trenton, OH) is seeking a part time Director of Music Ministry to serve our parish of 200 families. The Director of Music Ministry plans & leads music for 2 weekend liturgies, all holy day liturgies, and special liturgies as needed (including All Souls evening prayer & First Communion). When requested will provide music for funerals and weddings for additional compensation. The Director of Music Ministry will hold choir rehearsal outside of Mass times and conduct the choir during weekend liturgies and on holy days. Will attend staff meetings for liturgical planning. Will be responsible for scheduling maintenance of sound equipment and music equipment when needed. Successful candidates will be proficient in organ/keyboard & have strong vocal skills. Must be a practicing Catholic with a strong liturgical knowledge as evidenced by experience in liturgical music ministry and/or formal training credentials. Must have the ability to lead the congregation in praise through music and direct & recruit volunteer musicians (choir, cantors & other musicians). Will be familiar with the operation of professional sound equipment. Must pass a background, reference and criminal check & be SafeParish trained or successfully complete SafeParish training prior to employment.
