The Coordinator of Sacramental Life is responsible for coordinating the schedules of the four priests of the NW-7 Family of Parishes (St. Michael, Fort Loramie; Sacred Heart, McCartyville; Ss. Peter & Paul, Newport; Holy Angels, Sidney.) This means justly distributing various weddings, funerals, and baptisms between priests. Would manage the schedule regarding sacraments for all priests. For funerals, the coordinator of sacramental life will be the point of contact for funeral directors. The coordinator will work closely with the pastor to better understand his vision and aid him in implementing his pastoral vision. Help the pastor to bring about unity in the Family of Parishes. The coordinator would be responsible for managing the pastor’s schedule and would also become responsible for composing and responding to emails that fall within their competence on behalf of the pastor. Composing correspondence to the parishes, groups, or individuals would be expected of the coordinator when needed. The coordinator would be asked to plan and organize liturgical events (e.g. processions, holy hours, etc.) This individual would need to ensure that liturgical items are well kept and stocked for the celebration of the sacraments. When needed the coordinator will meet with individuals and groups on behalf of the pastor. The coordinator would need to be flexible in their responsibilities to best serve the Family of Parishes and its priests.

Qualifications:

  • Prayerful and possesses a love for the Catholic Faith.
  • Experience/qualifications in event planning
  • Experience/qualifications in communication
  • Technologically proficient.
  • Skilled in grammar and English composition.
  • Able to hold confidence of priests and parishioners.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Able to withstand complaints from disgruntled individuals.

Catholic Communities of Northwest Dayton is looking for a communication leader to create and implement a cohesive communication plan for our region of 2000 families.  Successful candidate will be responsible for the timely development and distribution of all print, electronic and event materials.  Manager will be responsible for the communities’ websites, weekly bulletin, electronic newsletter and social media accounts.  Communication manager will be responsible for developing and implanting an overarching strategy that will reach targeted individuals and/or groups in the parishes and community at large.

Candidates should be a practicing Catholic and with an undergrad degree in communication or similar degree. Experience is preferred. Successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft office products along with some design programs.  Ability to use a camera and work with other parish databases is a plus.

Catholic Communities of Northwest Dayton is seeking a full time parish secretary to become a member of our team.  Duties include answering phone and door, maintaining parish databases and permanent records, coordinating schedules, and performing other administrative duties as assigned by the pastor and /or business manager.  Applicant must have some proficiency in the Microsoft office suite, and be able to work with other cloud based software programs that meet the office needs.  Employment is contingent upon meeting all background checks and Safe Parish requirements.  Must be practicing catholic.

Catholic Bearcat, the dynamic and rapidly growing campus ministry at the University of Cincinnati, is looking for a lay campus minister to join the team! The campus minister collaborates with the priest chaplains to coordinate, organize, and run evangelization efforts for the students at the University of Cincinnati, providing primarily administrative and hospitality support.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to accomplish the vision and mission of Catholic Bearcat
  • Planning, organization, and day-of event preparation for weekly Catholic Bearcat Night and other ad hoc events
  • Coordinates marketing and digital outreach for Catholic Bearcat through social media and other forms of communication
  • Manages the campus ministry calendar
  • Develops and implements strategies for evangelization
  • Develops, organizes, and provides formation for a core team of student leaders
  • Helps to coordinate with FOCUS and SPO apostolates
  • Create and coordinate service opportunities and retreats
  • Attend all staff and campus ministry team meetings
  • Build and maintains an annual budget for Campus Ministry programming
  • Work as the main contact with the University and maintain a steady relationship with the administration, managing the status as a student organization with the student president
  • Serve as a member of the University Interfaith Coalition

Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of the Catholic faith and an ability to witness to and teach the Catholic faith well
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to take initiative, while being able to work well as a member of a team and take direction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding ability to plan and run hospitality for events large and small
  • Knowledge of and experience in digital design, marketing, and social media

Qualifications

  • A fully initiated Catholic who is an active disciple of Jesus Christ with a deep life of prayer and regularly receiving the Sacraments, living in full communion with the Catholic Church
  • A disciple who has a heart to bring college students to conversion
  • Bachelor’s degree in Catholic Theology required (Master’s degree preferred)
  • At least 5 years experience in Catholic college campus ministry
  • Experience planning and leading retreats, small groups, and giving talks
  • Must complete and maintain compliance with all Archdiocese of Cincinnati Safe Environment policies and practices

Flexibility is necessary to respond to the different responsibilities that the position requires. This position requires work to be performed outside of normal office hours, as needed.

The Parish Family of St. Columbkille and St. Augustine is accepting applications for the position of Director of Faith Formation.  The Director of Faith Formation administers (designs, develops, directs, and evaluates) all parish family catechetical and evangelizing programs for the combined parish family with the help of the St. Augustine CRE. Applicant needs to be familiar with Catechesis of the Good Shepherd as well as family-based catechesis.  The Director of Faith Formation will oversee faith formation from preschool – adults. We are looking for a missionary disciple who is a fully initiated and practicing member of the Catholic Church.  A degree in Theology/Catechetics or Certification in Parish Catechetical Leadership is preferred. This is a full-time position.

Requires evening and weekend hours.
