Bellarmine Chapel, a Catholic faith community located on the campus of Xavier University, is seeking a part-time Pastoral Assistant.

The Pastoral Assistant works with the Parish Life Director and the Pastor to provide direct personal outreach and pastoral care for the parishioners.  In terms of all long-range development of spiritual, social, educational  programs the Pastoral Assistant supports the Director of Parish Life and the Pastor in developing and maintaining programs and contact that enhance the engagement of the parishioners in parish life. Some of the responsibilities include hospital and sick visits, funeral and end of life care, catechesis and assistance with liturgical planning.

Requirements for the position include a Bachelor’s degree in theology, pastoral ministry, or related field, Master’s or specialized training/education in pastoral ministry preferred.

The Community of the Good Shepherd is looking to hire a full-time Maintenance person who will work to maintain the buildings and equipment to provide continuous, effective operations and perform routine repairs. Candidates must have mechanical skills, i.e., electric/wiring, plumbing, painting, carpentry, etc., must be able to lift and maneuver heavy objects safely, and work independently. The person in this position will work closely with the Facility Director. Previous work experience should include comprehensive maintenance and cleaning plan for a large facility, ability to communicate tactfully and respectfully, and work in a cooperative way with pastor, parish staff members and parishioners. Qualified candidates should be flexible and able to prioritize tasks. All employees are subject to the Archdiocese child protection guidelines. St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church is currently seeking applicants for a full-time Receptionist / Administrative Assistant.  The person in this role will provide:

  • secretarial and related office services
  • act as a minister of hospitality to the parish
  • provide administrative support to the Pastor, the Pastoral Associate for Worship and Sacraments, and to the Pastoral Associate for Outreach and Stewardship

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Greet visitors in a professional and friendly manner and assist with their needs
  • Professionally and courteously handle office communications – phone, mail, email, etc.
  • Perform administrative duties, including, but not limited to, scheduling, calendar management and purchasing

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Expectations:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of how the parish operates
  • Capacity to learn the phone system and other office machines
  • Knowledge and skill in using computers and database software
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point), and/or Google Suite

The Family Parishes of Corpus Christi, St. John Neumann and St. John the Baptist in Cincinnati is seeking a Pastoral Associate for Youth Ministry.  This full-time position is designed to be a leader and resource person to all ministries within the parish relating to young people and families.  This includes Confirmation sacramental preparation and Youth Ministry.

Candidates must be practicing Catholics with well-developed leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. A bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry, theology, or related field is required. Experience in religious education, teaching, or catechism is ideal, but not required.

The Family Parishes are diverse parish communities of 3,200 households.

The Director of Marketing will help to implement the church’s overall strategic plan for internal and external communications.  This position is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all marketing, church-wide communications, and media strategies.  The holder of this position informs people in our area about the many programs and events at Incarnation.  The candidate will invite people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through the promotion and communication of the events and ministry opportunities.

Candidates for this position will promote the mission of the Incarnation community, create strategies focused on growth of the parish through engagement with the school, manage the parish website and social media, market and promote programs and ministry opportunities, brand management and content design, work closely with the Director of Parish Engagement and supervise the school marketing contact.

The candidate should be a practicing Catholic with a minimum of 5 years of experience in communication and marketing.  The candidate must be able to fully commit to the mission, vision and values of Incarnation, has a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or equivalent work experience is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in communications and marketing is required along with previous church employment would be a plus.  Experience in creating or executing marketing plans, skilled at writing, editing, proofreading copy, and the flexibility to write in different styles for various audiences.  The candidate must also demonstrate project management skills with the ability to self-direct and prioritize goals.  Experience managing social media accounts will be required.
