Job Information: St. Maximilian Kolbe, a parish of 3,200 families, is seeking a full-time Pastoral Associate for Finance and Human Resources.

The Pastoral Associate for Finance and Human Resources serves as a staff resource in support of the pastor, fulfilling parish administrative needs regarding the financial and personnel responsibilities of the parish, and contributing through this work to the advancement of the Gospel within the parish.

Qualifications:

  • Active member of a Roman Catholic parish is preferred
  • Knowledge of how the parish operates
  • Knowledge of archdiocesan policies
  • Ability to prepare and plan a budget
  • Good record-keeping skills
  • Ability to supervise and manage
  • Ability to work cooperatively with a variety of people

The Director of Faith Formation administers (designs, develops, directs and evaluates) all parish catechetical and evangelizing programs for this parish of over 1700 families.  Through the religious education and sacramental preparation of our youth, this position builds lasting relationships with families, thus setting the stage for adult faith formation opportunities.

Experience with family catechesis and both digital and analog programming are essential elements of this position. Must be a Catholic in good standingBachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Studies or equivalent required. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum of three years ministerial experience in a Catholic parish. This is a full time position.

Requires evening and weekend hours, including Sunday mornings.

St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio is seeking to hire a qualified Coordinator of Young Adult Ministry. The principle duty in this full-time, exempt position is to develop, coordinate, and serve young adults in the community including those who are single and young families.

SPECIFIC POSITION CONTENT:

  1. Create opportunities for young adults to meet together, find support, and engage in the faith.
  2. Create a core team. The purpose of the core team is to create events, germinate new focuses, as well as inspire freshness and creativity. The core team should be adjusted as time goes.
  3. To increase young adult participation in current parish events and organizations.
  4. To listen to and identify the needs of the young adults. This includes empowering them to create new groups for their common interests, and offering any assistance necessary to form, sustain, manage, and foster these groups.
  5. As the Coordinator for Young Adult Ministry, you will be part of staff and are expected to attend all meetings, as well as be an active team member of the Parish Leadership Team and all the responsibilities that entails.
  6. To be present at Mass, festivals, donut Sunday’s, and other activities and programs to meet and increase the engagement of young adults.
  7. To support marriage and family life in young adults, inspired by the teachings of the Catholic Church. This includes Mom’s Group, but also can include creating programming for dads and others.
  8. To secure wedding reservations for couples seeking the Sacrament of Marriage.
  9. Manages parish communication and promotes all parish events and involvement through Social Media, Flocknote, and the parish websites.
  10. The job includes all other duties assigned, including duties that the pastor needs accomplished for the common good of the parish., i.e; filling in for others as needed and requested, having a presence at festivals and other big events that need support of all staff.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

BA (required) in Philosophy, Theology, Catechetics or related field. Candidates should have, at minimum, one year working in a leadership capacity with young adults in the parish setting, including the successful development and implementation of one or more components of a holistic young adult program.

St. Mary, Hyde Park, is seeking a part-time Assistant Director of Music starting August 1, 2021.  St. Mary, Hyde Park has a growing and thriving music ministry, including adult and children’s choirs, a cantor program, a Steinway baby grand piano, and a newly rebuilt 3-manual, Schantz pipe organ (December 2019).  Primary responsibilities are to play piano/organ at the 4:00 p.m. Saturday Vigil Mass as well as the Wednesday and Friday morning Masses (9:00 a.m.) with and without the school children, the Tuesday 5:45 p.m. Mass and Benediction (first Tuesday of the month), work with and train cantors from the school and parish, assist when needed for Holy Days, weddings, and funerals. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in music and/or experience in a parish liturgical music program, proficiency in piano, organ, and voice, a knowledge of liturgy and good pastoral skills. The successful candidate is a team person, working with all the staff members of the parish. Holy Family, a multicultural catholic faith community in East Price Hill and South Fairmount is looking for a qualified candidate for the part-time, 28 hour per week(M,W,Th,F) position of parish secretary/receptionist.

Primary responsibilities are as follows:

Provide receptionist services for the parish office, answering phone calls and greeting/assisting parish visitors in a professional and friendly manner; provide secretarial and clerical services to the pastor, business manager, pastoral associate and key parish leaders; provide sacramental recordkeeping services for the parish; coordinate and schedule volunteers in the parish office; compile requests for bulletin articles and inserts; prepare and oversee distribution of weekly Sunday bulletin; prepare other publications as needed.

Qualifications for the ideal candidate include:

Effective written and verbal professional communicator (Bi-lingual), English/Spanish.  Working knowledge of and skill in using computers and office software programs, specifically Microsoft Office products (including Publisher), although additional training will be provided as needed; must be adept in creatively laying out copy for bulletin and other publications; must have ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters. Working knowledge of Gabriel software program is preferred but not required.
