The Director of Pastoral Ministries will be responsible for managing our parish ministries to enhance parishioner engagement.  This individual will coordinate, support, empower and direct when necessary, the work of the ministerial activities of the parish. This includes, but is not limited to our Sacramental Ministries (Baptism, Marriage and Bereavement), Liturgical Ministries RCIA and Social Outreach.   Must be a Catholic in good standing. Bachelor’s Degree required.  Master’s Degree in pastoral ministry/theology is preferred.  Minimum of three years ministerial experience in a Catholic parish. Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable networking and building relationships with volunteers. Strong technology skills, experience with various social media and software platforms is key.

Full time.  Requires occasional evening and weekend hours.

IHM Parish is seeking a dynamic candidate to oversee the Sacrament of Confirmation Program.
The successful candidate will help youth to encounter Christ, strengthen their personal
relationship with Jesus through the treasures of the Catholic Faith and to guide them to become
missionary disciples. This position is part time (up to 20 hours a week), reports to the Pastoral
Associate for Evangelization and Catechesis, and will require some weekday office hours and some
evening and weekend work.

The Coordinator of Confirmation will develop strong adult leadership teams, foster relationships,
build up the domestic Church, and strategize new ways to engage not just youth but the entire
family through the Confirmation Process. A Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry, Religious
Studies, Theology, Religious Education or related field is preferred, at least 2 years’ experience
with Middle School aged youth preferred, and fluency in Spanish is a real plus!

The music director/minister is to prepare music selections and conduct weekly Sunday morning choir rehearsals before Mass, as well as weeknight rehearsals as needed, particularly in preparation for Advent, Christmas, Triduum and Easter. She/he is also responsible to attend monthly meetings and participate as an active member of the Prayer and Worship Ministry. She/he should also accompany and direct music for all Community liturgies. This includes our weekly 10:30am Sunday celebrations, Triduum services, Holy days of obligation, Reconciliation services and all funerals (when available). The piano is our main instrument of use though there is an organ too though not used as much. Salary is negotiable DOE.

Mary, Queen of All Saints Family of Parishes, (Our Lady of Victory, St. Dominic, St. Simon, St. Al’s on the Ohio, and St. Vincent de Paul) is looking to hire a Director of Religious Education. This is a full-time salaried position. The Director will provide leadership and supervision for sacramental prep, catechist certification, RCIA, PSR, Adult Religious Education, family evangelization efforts, catechetical initiatives, summer youth retreats and Vacation Bible School.  The Director helps recruit and supervises PSR teachers. The Director also provides support for the staff of two schools at St. Dominic and Our Lady of Victory, helps develop and oversee religious education curriculum development, helps review and choose the texts and programs, helps with the planning of school liturgies, teacher formation and education. The Director will also supervise and work with two assistant religious education directors also engaged in the program. The suitable candidate should be willing to teach, be comfortable with public speaking, and should have the skills to motivate, organize, and manage large and small groups.

Mary, Queen of All Saints Parish is looking for a candidate who is willing to accept a challenge to develop a creative program that is multifaced, energetic, innovative, and faithfully Catholic. The candidate should be a practicing Catholic, organized, be able to take initiative, and also work as part of a team. Candidates should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Theology or Pastoral Studies.  Certification as a catechetical leader would be a plus.

St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Dayton is looking for an “Organist and Choir Director” for the 9AM Sunday Mass and Holy Day Masses. Responsibilities include weekly choir rehearsal, directing the choir with organ accompaniment on Sundays, and providing liturgical music for wedding Masses/ceremonies.

The role of PASTORAL ASSOCIATE is a full time position reporting to the Pastor. The primary function of this position is to enable ongoing parish life including liturgy, pastoral care and administration, enabling people to draw closer to God by facilitating the growth of St. Stephen parish that is ministerially complete and to assist the pastor in his function of liaison between the parish and the diocesan church.

In addition to being an essential function in the daily life of the parish, this position also serves as a developmental role that could lead to the promotional opportunity over time of Pastoral Associate for the Family of Parishes of St. Stephen, Holy Family-Immaculata, St. Rose and Christ the King.

The Pastoral Associate enables, encourages, develops lay leadership on all levels; works with parish council to develop goals and objectives that enflesh the vision and meet particular needs of the community; oversees sacramental, liturgical life of parish; organizes community outreach programs; and engages parishioners in Stewardship initiatives.

Applicants should have 5 – 10 years job experience in the relative pastoral setting; a theological background in Ecclesiology, Christology, Sacramental and Liturgical Theology, Scripture, and Ethics and Morality; skills in pastoral counseling/pastoral care; have supervision experience in ministry; good interpersonal skills, and multi-cultural sensitivity.
