Grades 7-12: Assistant Principal & Academic Dean/Full-Time: The Assistant Principal at Royalmont Academy plays a crucial role in achieving the school’s mission by fostering comprehensive formation in academic, human, spiritual, and apostolic areas for grades 7-12.  This involves supervising faculty to meet state, Archdiocesan, and Regnum Christi educational standards, conducting assessments, offering coaching, and ensuring a high-quality academic environment.  The role includes fostering discipline and order, motivating students to follow rules through personal conviction, and spearheading curriculum development across PreK-12, in collaboration with faculty and the Elementary School Assistant Principal, to exceed educational standards.  Additionally, as the Guidance Counselor, this position ensures Seniors meet graduation requirements, contributes to the Integral Formation Leadership Team, and reports directly to the Head of School, encompassing faculty and management responsibilities.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Coordinating the development and implementation of the annual program and budget for grades 7-12, ensuring alignment with educational standards and school objectives.
  • Leading the execution of an age-appropriate discipline strategy and cultivating a vibrant, joyful high school culture that promotes personal growth and adherence to the code of conduct.
  • Motivating, coaching, and assessing faculty formators for grades 7-12, providing ongoing support and training in academic, human, spiritual, and apostolic formation to enhance teaching effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with the formation instructor to implement the virtue program, focusing on practical aspects to encourage student development of virtues out of personal conviction.
  • Leading curriculum development efforts, overseeing curriculum instruction, textbook and supplemental material assessment, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and educational requirements.
  • Coordinating faculty professional development in collaboration with the PreK-6 Assistant Principal, aimed at continuous improvement of instructional skills and knowledge.
  • Providing personal attention to students, utilizing positive motivation and an understanding of developmental needs to foster a supportive and formative educational environment.
  • Planning and implementing logistics for school activities (e.g., assemblies, campaigns) to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere, coordinating with the athletic director to support the athletics program’s growth and operation.

Upper School Office Assistant/Part-Time: The Summit Country Day School is seeking a part-time Upper School Assistant serving grades 9-12.  This person will be responsible for meeting the needs of the Upper School faculty, staff, students, and parents.  The selected individual will have general responsibility for creating an efficient operation for attendance and assisting the Upper School Administrative Assistant in other office needs.  This person will maintain a warm, welcoming environment; manage office activities; maintain accurate attendance records; maintain daily rosters and schedules; provide support, direction & help to students; assist the school nurse in addressing health concerns of our students; act as a point of contact for visiting parents, vendors, service providers and others; handle phone and email queries, messages and requests.
This begins the 2024-2025 Academic Year.
Part-Time: Dates depend on the school calendar; typically, August 1 through the first week of June.  Hours; 7:30-1:30 Monday-Friday / 30 minute lunch

Reporting to the Assistant Head of School for Advancement and Community Engagement, this role leads and oversees strategic communications, marketing, brand oversight, internal and external messaging, crisis communications, event and community communications. Tasks include, but are not limited to, project management, writing, editing, social media, publications, internal communications, website management, visual asset management.
The Director of Marketing and Communications is charged with developing and implementing a clear, concise, and consistent communications strategy that captures the mission, vision and strategy of The Summit.

The Director of Marketing and Communications leads a team of professionals including two Communications Specialists and works with various contractors for additional photography, graphic design and writing needs.

This position is a member of The Summit’s Senior Leadership Team and works closely with other key administrators, departments, and school divisions to fulfill the mission of the school. will strengthen partnerships with the Admissions and Development programs and Head of School, ensuring thoughtful collaboration on goal setting and project management execution.

This position is full time, Monday-Friday with some evenings/weekends and travel required.
