Grades 9-12: Math Teacher/Full-Time: Roger Bacon High School, a Catholic Franciscan high school committed to academic excellence and holistic student development, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Math Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will teach Algebra I, Algebra II, and Statistics, with the ability to teach AP Statistics being a highly desirable plus.
We are looking for an educator who fosters a love for mathematics, engages students through dynamic instruction, and integrates technology and real-world applications into the curriculum. The candidate should be committed to student success, growth, and the values of a Franciscan education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, student-centered lessons in Algebra I, Algebra II, and Statistics that align with state and school curriculum standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and ensure student mastery of mathematical concepts.
- Develop and administer assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Incorporate technology, project-based learning, and real-world applications into lessons to enhance student understanding.
- Maintain an organized, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and mutual respect.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Math Department to ensure consistency and innovation in curriculum delivery.
- Provide students with academic support through tutoring, office hours, or intervention strategies as needed.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and administration regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events.
- Uphold the mission, values, and Catholic Franciscan traditions of Roger Bacon High School.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid Ohio teaching license or ability to obtain licensure.
- Experience teaching high school math, particularly Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Statistics.
- Experience or certification in AP Statistics is highly preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create an engaging learning environment.
- Commitment to fostering students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration.
- Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities, mentoring, or coaching is a plus.
