Overview:
Reporting to the Middle School Director, the Middle School Religion and Social Studies Teacher is a
Middle School faculty member who works in both the religion and social studies departments in grades 5-8.
This teacher provides a meaningful Catholic-based religion curriculum and helps students learn and apply
concepts of faith. This teacher also has the content knowledge and pedagogical skill to engage students in
project-based learning experiences in social studies classes.

Qualifications:
• Practicing Catholic with current Basic Catechetical Certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in theology, ministry, history, education, or
related field is required.
• A minimum of two years of middle school teaching experience is preferable.
• Current Ohio teaching certification/license preferred.
• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of best practices for middle child education.
• Demonstrate a passion for driving student learning and success.
• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Proficient in Google Workspace for Education.
