As a lay ecclesial minister and assistant to the Director of Worship and Sacraments, the individual in this role helps with the day-to-day operations of the department, provides direct support to the liturgical ministry coordinators, and shares various responsibilities with the Director in the planning and celebrating of the liturgical seasons.

The Stewardship Department is seeking a full-time Development Officer to help implement a comprehensive fund development program for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The Development Officer develops strategies and materials to inform, engage, and invite current and prospective donors to support Archdiocesan needs.

By fostering meaningful relationships with donors, prospective donors, and key community and business leaders, the Development Officer will be responsible for increasing annual giving to the Catholic Ministries Appeal (CMA), gifts for special projects and initiatives, and deferred giving.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of three years’ experience in secular or church development or related non-profit experience. Experience with Salesforce database system is a plus. Must be a practicing Roman Catholic, familiar with the structure and teachings of the Church and able to clearly articulate the mission of the Church and how donors’ participation directly assists that mission.
