The Jesuit Spiritual Center at Milford seeks an Associate Director of Adult Ministry to assist the Director with the preparation and implementation of all facets of adult retreats with a focus on women’s ministry. An applicant must have training and experience in Ignatian Spirituality, based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the adult ministry program; planning, preparing, staffing, and facilitating retreats and programs; and working collaboratively with retreat directors, spiritual directors, pastoral associates, and parish ministers. The applicant must excel in group facilitation and communication skills. This position does require evening and weekend work. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.

The Coordinator of RCIA provides coordination of the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults for all five churches in our family of parishes.  This position will work closely with Director of Evangelization to create methods of recruiting persons interested in exploring the Catholic Church, provide hospitality and welcoming to inquirers and support the program of full initiation into the Church.  The Coordinator of RCIA will work collaboratively with the priests, worship, and music personnel to ensure all rites and liturgies are planned and prepared.  This position is exclusively for adult initiation.

Role Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Grades 6-8 Social Studies Teacher to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of middle school-aged students, a comprehensive knowledge of social studies subjects, and the ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that foster critical engagement.  The Social Studies Teacher will also collaborate with other teachers and participate in school events.  This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or a related field
  • Valid teaching license or certification
  • Experience teaching social studiesat the middle school level
  • Passion for working with middle school students and fostering their curiosity and love for social studies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the needs of students and the school

Compensation
