Grades 9-12: English Teacher/starting the 2025-2026 school year/Full-Time: The successful St. Xavier teacher is dedicated to developing the whole person in academics, religious growth, and services to others.  The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to Catholic education and a willingness to work with talented and motivated students and colleagues.  The candidate should be capable of teaching English I (an introduction to writing and reading at the college prep level), English II (American literature), or English III (British literature).

Qualifications:
– A Bachelor’s degree in a related field – Master’s degree preferred
– Ohio teaching license, grades 9-12
– Knowledge in the latest methodology and pedagogy for teaching English at the high school level
– Familiarity with the use of technology in the classroom
– Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities:
– Meet with students who need assistance outside of class time
– Communicate regularly with parents and administrators to ensure the success of each student
– Collaborate with colleagues on English curriculum development and implementation
– Collaborate with colleagues on professional growth projects
– Fully participate in homeroom and life of the school
– Fulfill periodic substitution and perfecting responsibilities
