REPORT TO:  Food Service Manager

WORKING HOURS:  8 hours; multiple shifts available between 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:  To prepare meals including hot and cold food items as well as desserts for our residents, students, staff, and outside events.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must have previous experience in cooking
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must have a professional attitude
  • Must be able to follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Must have experience with following recipes and cooking procedures to ensure quality products are served
  • Must be flexible when necessary
  • Must be able to keep the kitchen and refectory clean and organized

MAJOR POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help prepare breakfast, lunch, or dinner entrees depending on shift worked
  • Help prepare salad bar and dessert prep as assigned
  • Help monitor salad bar and food lines
  • Help with breakdown of food line and dish clean up as needed
  • Help clean and wipe down kitchen and dining area
  • Help ensure kitchen is closed properly and ready to go the next day

St. Clement Church/School in St. Bernard is seeking a part-time, possibly full time, person to handle the finances.  The parish uses Paylocity for payroll.  The business manager will need to convert the accounting to Parish Soft.  In recent years an outside accounting firm has been doing the accounting work.  Over the coming months, there needs to be a closing of various small accounts and merging them into the main account.

Knowledge of the Archdiocesan systems will be expected.  Applicant needs accounting and finance knowledge, human resource skills and managing payroll.  Salary will be commensurate with experience and standards of the Archdiocese.

The Franciscan Sisters of the Poor is seeking an experienced Administrator to oversee the operations of the St. Clare Campus in Cincinnati. St. Clare Convent is home to approximately 25 Sisters. A staff of nurses and nursing assistants are directly employed by the Sisters to provide 24/7 nursing oversight and care for those who require it. Dining, housekeeping and other assistance is provided by in-house staff. The Sisters’ convent is a private residence, not a licensed care facility.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Care administration, Gerontology or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience as an Administrator in a residential setting for older adults
  • Ohio Nursing Home Administrator License preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a non-profit organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or religious organization strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Catholic Church structures and teaching preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet

Responsibilities include:

  • Provides oversight of all services offered to the sisters and oversight of business aspects of the convent, including property management for the campus.
  • Collaborates with managers, local ministers and finance in providing input for departmental and capital budgets.
  • Collaborates with the Nurse Care Manager and Health Nurse to ensure the provision of quality care.
  • Coordinates, directs and supervises the quality and effectiveness of services including healthcare delivery, support services, sisters services, dining, housekeeping and facilities.
  • Collaborates with managers and HR to ensure appropriate staffing levels and employee relations issues as needed.
  • Represents SFP and campus, serving as primary contact for community/public needs or concerns.
