The Associate Director for Adult Evangelization & Pastoral Ministry helps advance the evangelizing mission of the Catholic Church throughout the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The Associate Director reports to the Managing Director for Parish Evangelization within the Center for the New Evangelization (CNE) and is an active member of a dedicated team that seeks to form, equip and coach parish evangelists across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The Associate Director will have a special focus on coordinating evangelization efforts for adults and pastoral associates as part of an overall mission to renew parish evangelization.
The Associate Director collaborates closely and congenially with the entire staff of the CNE and the Department of Communication & Evangelization, as well as other archdiocesan offices. The Social Services Advocate (SSA) is the primary contact person for those requesting services at the Neyer Outreach Center. The SSA will be cross-trained on all of our direct service programs, including Welcome Rooms, Call Center, Front Desk, and Choice Food Pantry. Engagement, assessment, eligibility determination, gathering documentation, and service delivery are key functions. The right candidate will have a heart for service, compassion for those we serve, and a willingness to serve in the area of most need. The team member must be able to build relationships with neighbors in need, using a strengths-based approach to help them recognize and utilize their personal strengths and resources. The Self-Sufficiency Programs Manager is responsible for advancing St. Vincent de Paul’s mission through the administration, supervision, and facilitation of the Becky Catino Women’s Stability, Employment, and Empowerment Program; the Re-Entry Program (for individuals impacted by incarceration); and Working Better Together (SVDP’s workforce development program for its Stores employees). This role will supervise two full-time staff members and manage the budget and reporting for these three programs. The prompt and effective delivery of service engagement and responsible stewardship are the expectations of this team member’s work. Efficient extension of services to ensure programmatic and financial accountability and concrete outcomes is a key aspect of this role. This leader must consistently model the mission and values of St. Vincent de Paul. This position is an integral member of the Outreach Center Programs team.
