The Director of Pastoral Ministries will be responsible for managing our parish ministries to enhance parishioner engagement.  This individual will coordinate, support, empower and direct when necessary, the work of the ministerial activities of the parish. This includes but is not limited to our Sacramental Ministries (Baptism, Marriage and Bereavement), Liturgical Ministries and Social Outreach.   This is a new position and will require experience with program development.

Must be a Catholic in good standing. Bachelor’s Degree required.  Master’s Degree in pastoral ministry/theology is preferred.  Minimum of three years ministerial experience in a Catholic parish.  Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable networking and building relationships with volunteers. Strong technology skills, experience with various social media and software platforms is key.

Full time.  Requires occasional evening and weekend hours.

Scope of Position: This integral staff position oversees all aspects of leveraging data throughout our organization to serve our neighbors more effectively and efficiently, on both a macro and micro level. This includes targeting, collecting, archiving, reporting, and analyzing data to address the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. This position is designated full-time, salaried & exempt. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Model our mission, values, and paramount commitment to responsible stewardship
  • Help inform organization-wide decisions through data analysis
  • Champion successful case management system (CMS) data platform implementation throughout centralized hub functions and decentralized (Conferences comprised of volunteers, known as Vincentians) network
  • Collaborate with teammates throughout our organization to understand internal data needs and external reporting requirements
  • Develop and implement an organization-wide (Society, Stores and Pharmacy) data plan and processes which inform the breadth of our operations and integrate the various database platforms we utilize
  • Lead the achievement of the data-centric initiatives in our Upward Together FY2019-23 Operating Plan
  • Convene & facilitate an organization-wide, cross-functional committee to advance data-centric initiatives
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of the data we generate and communicate
  • Train fellow staff and volunteers to use selected data platforms and tools consistently, including providing continuous reinforcement to sustain organizational knowledge through member additions and attrition
  • Provide timely, responsive technical support to database users
  • Interact with external data platform vendors as our data point person to achieve cost efficiency and to advocate for software enhancements to respond to our evolving needs
  • Engage in identification and evaluation of software solutions
  • Provide guidance on hardware and connectivity specifications to match software requirements
  • Assist the Director of Finance in resource allocation management, including procurement
  • Other tasks and duties as delegated

Qualifications:  A bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in data and analytics, is required; graduate studies are a plus. Technological proficiency (Microsoft Office, including Excel) and at least three years of relevant experience are required. Experience with data reporting is required; experience with Tableau for visual analytics is a plus.  Ability to communicate the benefits of the process and outputs of a data system across a decentralized organization is required. Experience with successful organization-wide data project implementation is strongly preferred. Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills are required. Analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to detail, are required. A tangible commitment to serving our neighbors (clients) and internal constituents is required. Ability to connect with fellow staff and volunteers with a wide range of technological capabilities and competence is required. Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds in a faith-based setting is required.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Cincinnati OH, is seeking a vibrant Music Ministry leader.

The minister serves the parish by leading the renewal, development, and implementation of a vibrant music ministry.  The ideal candidate will serve as the primary music minister, keyboardist, and choral leader, working collaboratively with pastoral staff to plan liturgical celebrations.  While musical talent and abilities are required, the Music Ministry leader will be engaging and dynamic in their ability to form relationships and cultivate greater participation within the music ministry of the parish.

Candidates must display proficiency in the playing of keyboard instruments; be skilled in choral leadership and development.  Candidates should have knowledge and appreciation of the Catholic Church’s liturgical tradition, an appreciation for the parish’s individual charism, and a working knowledge of a repertoire suitable for liturgical celebrations.

Our Lady of Lourdes is located on Glenway Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1927, Our Lady of Lourdes provides worship and prayer to families on the west side of Cincinnati. Our Lady of Lourdes School provides education for grades K-8.

Church of the Resurrection (COR) is seeking a Professional Assistant to the Fund Development Committee.

Position Status:  Currently the position is part-time. This position is a (hourly/salaried position) to be determined. Employment is at-will and contingent on the accomplishment of goals and strategic outcomes.

Overall Responsibilities:  The Professional Assistant will function as a fund development coordinator and grants specialist responsible for implementing the fund development strategic plan of the Church of the Resurrection.

Accountability 

  • Reports to the Pastor.
  • Works with the Fund Development Committee and leadership teams.
  • Attends staff meetings and Fund Development Committee meetings.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Planning & evaluating fundraising campaigns & activities
  • Identifying, growing, and cultivating prospective donors
  • Implement a comprehensive donor management process
  • Assist in the development and execute the approved fund development strategy
  • Identify grant resources aligned with the mission of the Church of the Resurrection; submit grant applications & track progress through comprehensive process
  • Create and implement online strategies through social media
  • Work collaboratively with the Fund Development Chairperson, Pastoral Administrator, Pastor and Leadership Councils, to plan and execute strategic and annual giving programs, and work to expand the geographical reach and awareness of the Church of the Resurrection.
  • Contribute to communication mediums in regard to fund development activities
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging trends and compliance requirements

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis or concentration in business, marketing/sales, public relations or related field
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years in fund development, fundraising and grant writing.
  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to the mission of the Church of the Resurrection.
  • Exhibit personal and professional characteristics that include, but are not limited to:
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills.

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati Pastoral Center is seeking to hire a full-time Associate Director for Youth Catechesis.  The Associate Director for Youth Catechesis advances the Archbishop’s teaching ministry by working to integrate youth evangelizing catechesis in the context of the process of evangelization. The Associate Director reports to the Managing Director for Parish Evangelization and is an active member of a dynamic team that seeks to mentor and accompany parish evangelists across the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. The Associate Director will have a special focus on coordinating youth evangelization efforts in grades K-6 as part of an overall mission to renew youth evangelization in grades K-12. The Associate Director will also coordinate the ongoing implementation and evaluation of Catechist Certification with an emphasis on accompaniment and formation for mission.

The Associate Director collaborates closely and congenially with the entire staff of the Center for the New Evangelization (CNE) and the Department of Communication & Evangelization, as well as other archdiocesan offices.
