This newly created regional position will serve the up-and-coming Uptown Catholic Region in Clifton (St. Monica – St. George Parish, Annunciation Parish & School, Holy Name Parish, Corryville Catholic Grade School, and the University of Cincinnati Newman Center). This individual will be responsible for overseeing a unified religious education program at all the parishes and coordinating with the parish schools concerning Catholic education. The responsibilities would include crafting an overall strategy for adult formation, which would include family formation for children, managing catechists, sharing responsibility for RCIA, overseeing sacramental preparation for the unified program, and collaborating with the college campus ministry and grade schools (as needed).

The requirements are a theology degree from a Catholic University, 5+ years of experience as a Director of Religious Education, and experience in the evangelization of young adults.

College degree preferred. Five years of practical experience in development with familiarity of planned giving instruments. Familiarity with fundraising software and windows applications.

The successful candidate must be able to develop an annual plan for identification, cultivation, and solicitation of major gifts and/or planned gifts. Must be able to maintain and foster relationships with donors to successfully communicate the Glenmary mission and secure major gifts or planned gifts.

St. Veronica Parish in Mt. Carmel, OH seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Director of Religious Education and RCIA for a parish of 1450 families. The candidate for consideration will provide a comprehensive faith formation program from pre-school through 8th grade for children attending public school; organize and coordinate sacramental preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation; conduct the Vacation Bible School program for one week in the summer; provide formation for adults seeking to belong to the Catholic church through sacraments of initiation, and, work with other parish and school staff to coordinate these responsibilities.

The successful candidate would have a minimum of three years of ministerial experience in a Catholic parish with a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry, Theology, or Religious Education preferred, but associated fields are acceptable. Previous faith formation experience is desired. Master’s Degree is ideal. Must have good communication and collaboration skills.

The position is full-time, salaried with regular evening and Sunday hours per month.

For the academic year of 2021-22, the religious education program will be a combination of monthly in-person classes for children with parent and small group meetings and parent-led at-home learning.

Catholic Charities Southwest Ohio is currently accepting applications for a Full Time Recruitment and Retention Specialist within their Language Services Department.

This position is responsible for the recruitment of contract interpreters for the Language Services Department. This will be achieved through the development of a recruitment plan, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. This position serves as the main point of contact for contract interpreters.

This position is based out of our Montgomery office location (10700 Montgomery Road), normal working schedule is Monday-Friday, reports to the Language Service Director, and is a non-exempt position.

Essential Job Functions:

Source active and passive candidates utilizing multiple outlets (recruiting sites, social media, virtual job fairs, non-traditional methods, etc.)
Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
Build candidate sources and ensures pipeline creation by researching and recommending new places to recruit.
Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone or in person), conduct reference/background checks, and make candidate recommendations to Language Services Coordinator
Achieve recruitment goals determined by the Language Services Coordinator
Partner with Language Services Coordinator and internal departments to identify appropriate future interpreter needs by language.
Develop and implement a recruitment strategy under the direction of the Languages Services Coordinator and action plan to achieve identified needs
Manage the candidate process and facilitate candidate completion of requirements and initial informational session.
Maintain independent contractor files and ensure all required documents are up to date and in the file
Maintain and promote communication with contract interpreters on an ongoing basis.
Respond to inquiries and concerns of interpreters in a timely manner.
Facilitate problem resolution in conjunction with Language Services Director.
Maintain scheduling software and work with finance office.
All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to understand and build positive relationships
Fluency with oral and written English.
Prior experience in recruitment is preferred.
Foreign language preferred
Cultural Sensitivity required

The Blessed Saints Pastoral Region is hiring a Director/Coordinator of Religious Education for St. Bartholomew Parish and a Youth Minister for St. Bartholomew and St. Vivian Parishes. The candidate should have good communication skills with both adults and youth.

Status: Full-time salaried position, with regular evening and weekend hours.

CRE/DRE

The candidate would be responsible to manage the religious education/catechetical programs for children through the parish. This includes Sacrament preparation for all parishioners for 1^st Reconciliation, 1^st Communion, and Confirmation. In addition, the candidate would be responsible for the religious education program for those students who do not attend Catholic School (PSR/RE). Additional seasonal duties include Vacation Bible School and overseeing and managing the Children’s Liturgy of the Word ministry.

Youth Ministry

The candidate would be responsible for managing a Jr. High and High school youth ministry program. The program has a history of regular meetings for both high school and jr. high students as well as several yearly events including mission trip, jr. high camp, quarterly fun outings, and other retreats and faith building events.

Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church is seeking a part-time Director of Music Ministry to serve our parish of 200 families.

The Director of Music Ministry plans & leads music for 2 weekend liturgies, all holy day liturgies, and special liturgies as needed. When requested and available will provide music for funerals and weddings for additional compensation. The Director of Music Ministry will hold choir rehearsals outside of Mass times and conduct the choir during weekend liturgies and on holy days. Will attend staff meetings for liturgical planning, when possible. Will be responsible for scheduling maintenance of sound equipment and music equipment when needed or notifying maintenance staff of need.

Candidates should be proficient in organ or piano and have suitable vocal skills. Must be a practicing Catholic and have or be willing to attain necessary formal training. Must have the ability to lead the congregation in praise through music and direct & recruit volunteer musicians (choir, cantors & other musicians). Will be familiar with or willing to learn the operation of professional sound equipment. (This being a part time position, some of the ancillary duties and expectations are negotiable.)

Compensation will be on a negotiated hourly rate for both preparation and actual liturgical services. Candidates must pass a background, reference and criminal check & child protection training.
